I can't agree with the other reviews more that Midland has become primarily concerned about the money since they've moved into their new, fancy building. Aside from the fact that is now costs $54 just to see a doctor (for a dog at least), they charge absolutely ridiculous prices for their prescriptions. Recently had an Rx for Mometamax Otic 30gm and they wanted to charge $66, so I asked for a written prescription so I could fill it online. The downside there is that online pharmacies can only accept an Rx directly from the vet. Midland has made it their policy now to not provide Rx information to pharmacies so you're forced to either buy it from them, or snail-mail the Rx to the online pharmacy (knowing you won't do the later for most pets as you need the medicine faster than mail would allow for). I will no longer bring either of my dogs to Midland due to their ridiculous practices and means to nickel and dime you. Pros: Nice Building Cons: way too expensive, try to nickel and dime you for everything more

I first went to Midland because another vet misdiagnosed my dog and wanted to put her down. I found out from Midland that she had a chronic but easily manageable intestinal problem. She is still with me 10 years later. I would never say that they are the cheapest vet in town, but you get what you pay for. If I can’t afford a particular course of treatment, they recommend alternatives. They are attentive to me and my pets. They are knowledgeable and on the forefront of new treatments. I can not say enough good things about this clinic and its staff. Pros: attentive, knowledgable, freindly staff Cons: growing busier all the time more

This money-hungry place is a bait and switch rip-off that is more concerned about making a profit then caring for your pet. I called them to ask how much it would cost to have a claw removed from my dog’s hind paw. I was told it would cost approximately $120 but first I would have to bring the dog in for an evaluation that will cost another $50. That sounded OK for me, 120 plus 50 to have this procedure done. To make a long story short it turns out that the $120 price that was quoted to me didn’t include all the other miscellaneous costs such as anesthesia, sutures, medication, etc. In the end I was hit with an estimate close to $600. You’ve been warned, stay away from this place. Cons: Money Hungry more

The staff is great. We have taken 3 dogs and 1 cat to them over the past 10 years and have always been happy with the service. There are several vets there and we have seen the majority of them. They are all caring and gentle with my animals. I have never had any trouble scheduling an appointment when I needed it, even on the same day. I highly recommend them. Pros: Central Poway, beautiful facility Cons: Haven't found one yet. more

Our dog has recurring intestinal issues and we have been here numerous times. They are always flexible with scheduling, always have last minute / emergency appts available. The vets and their techs are wonderful and very patient with our dog. They always spend a great deal of time with you trying to understand the issue and you never feel like you are being rushed out. I highly recommed this vet! more
