Dr. Partovy was able to give me a beautiful smile with Invisalign and I loved it. Another dentist had tolt me that I need braces to correct my smile, but I felt that I would look ugly. Dr. Partovy's office has this incredible type of braces that are clear so I can wear them to school and work and no one will know that I am acutally wearing them. Having recently moved to this area, one our biggest concerns was finding new dental care. We have found that with Dr. Partovy's office. From our first phone call, we were treated professionally and courteously. He and his staff are thorough, knowledgeable and caring. The entire office spends many hours taking continuing education classes. Dr. Parrtovy informs us of the newest dental procedures and options, relating those back to our own personal dental health. more

I saw Dr. Partovy's article in the Argonaut about oral health and went to his office for a consultation. I have always been a little scared of the dentist, but Dr. Partovy is very nice and calming. He is extremely intelligent and cares a great deal about his patients. I needed two crowns and he did a fantastic job. I have since referred my parents and my wife to Maxella Dental Group. The majority of the emplyees at this office are lazy and rude. They act as if it is so inconvenient for them to answer questions, look up past bills/invoices, etc. I agree, their products are marked-up at a ridiculous amount too. If you have no other choice but to go here be sure to request Dr. Ferrari. She is so sweet and gentle on you. Anyone else...you'll be in serious pain. Dr. Partovi had my gums bleeding during a simple cleaning and he only did half of my mouth. It was the worst experience. I had tears rolling down my cheeks the whole time. I do not recommend this place at all. more

Dr. Julia Baum works in this office. By sheer LUCK I found her. What a gem. Gentle, compassionate, highly skilled as a dentist, and great person. She works for Dr. Partovy who owns the practice. His front office staff is mentally ""limited"" to be kind. Billing is an absoulute nightmare. I was threatened with collection for a bill they never even bothered to submit to insurance. It's like you are BOTHERING the front office staff to ask a question about a bill. I spoke w/ Partovy briefly. He seemed kind. I do agree that there is huge mark up here on their products---rent is high in Marina Del Rey and Dr. Partovy wants his pot of gold as pay back for his long years of schooling. All of this being said, if you go to Dr. Baum I guarantee you will be happy. Mike P. more

The only redeeming quality of Dr. Partovy's dental practice is Dr. Ferrari, a wonderful, experience dentist who makes you feel right at home. Dr. Ferrari ""does the dirty work"", actually doing the drilling and cleaning and such. Dr. Partovy, on the other hand, only diagnoses your problems, but has no time to answer questions about them and has the nerve to answer his cell phone in the middle of conusltations! On top of all of that, his office products are marked up 115%! He did give me a price adjustment on the products his staff pushed on me, but they still never gave me adequate explanation as to why I needed the 6 different products.
