Maurer's Sanitary Cleaners

I called them last week and I am looking forward to call them again if ever I need some cleaning in my house. They did a fine job on cleaning everything up in my flat. more

Had a small house fire in June of 2013 in which we needed our curtains cleaned from smoke damage. When we got the curtain valances back they were in tatters! The woman at the office tried blaming the destruction they caused on the age of the curtains (which were just over a year old). She then told us that this is the risk you take when you have your curtains cleaned! It is now September of 2013 and they refuse to respond back from phone calls from our insurance company or myself. The cleaning of the curtains cost well over $200. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. more

BEWARE....horrible customer service. Called to speak to the manager Ann four times, stopped in twice...no response. I have been going to Maurers for over 10 years and told the clerk I will never go back and she said, ""Ann won't care""... more

I dropped my wedding gown off for cleaning prior to my wedding (it was quite dirty from the store) and I was told it would be $75 and done in about a week. The dress was done in a timely manner and came out spotless and nicely pressed.\r \r The downside (a big one for me) is the near distruction of the bead work on the dress. They make SURE you sign a release before you leave it stating if anything heppens with the bead work they are not liable and for GOOD REASON. I thought this was to cover themselves from crazy brides that are missing a seed pearl ot a tiny crystal....no\r \r It looked like it had been dry cleaned with a power blaster... There were numerous bare thread and spaces where MANY crystals and pearls were gone and the larger rhinestones? 4 were missing and 2 were broken in half.\r \r This was a $3000 Maggie S gown and it was unacceptably man-handled. There HAS to be gentler ways to dry clean something delicate so that bead work is not destroyed. I left extremely disappointed and more

Maurer's lost an article of clothing, a sweater. The staff at the local outlet were completely uncooperative and rude. When I called the office to try to find out what was happening after 2 1/2 weeks, the "manager" asked for more time to "find" the sweater. She could not. When she asked about settling up. She accused me of inflating the price of the sweater in order to make money. She now refuses to take my calls. I leave messages; she does not return them. This morning I was told she was in therapy and would not be back in the office for a long time because she would have to drive one of the trucks. We probably never will be reimbursed.... more

I simply called the Grand River location to get a price on leather cleaning. Their website has no hours posted on it. It was about 5:57 when I called and the lady picked up the phone. I asked if they did leather cleaning. She replied, "Yes." I then started to ask if she could give me a round about figure. She cut me off in mid sentence and said,"Ma'am, Ma'am, we're closed and I'm going home." She then hung up the phone. I have never in my life ever been treated so poorly over the phone! I would never suggest anyone ever go there!@! more

Very disatisfied. I am really disappointed with this cleaner. \r \r I sent cotton blouses to be cleaned. When I picked them up, they were on hangers and obviously not pressed, and smelling like they were stored in a musty closet. I could have washed them at home and done a better job. Do not go to this cleaner unless you don't care if your shirts come back wrinkled and smelling like your Grandma's basement. more

Maurers always treats me like i'm their best customer and now their taking it one more step and doing shoe repair. Maurers truly is number one for all my dry cleaning and shoe repair needs! more

Maurers Cleaners is a very good laundry business. They have always done a great job on my cloths. Their prices are reasonable and they have a very friendly staff. more
