I had never been treated with more disrespect and rudeness ever! I went to the shop with my mother, and two of my bridesmaids. When the sales person, Dorothy, found out my budget which was around $800 dollars she said to me in a snotty way, ""Well, our gowns start at 1,200"" and I looked at my mom and said we can probably work around that if I find a dress I really like. Then she asked me if I went to other bridal stores and if I liked any of those dresses. I told her I went to one and I really liked one of the dresses I tried on. Dorothy insisted on knowing the price of that dress (which was none of her business) I told her she was wrong and that it was the first bridal store I went to so I wanted to shop around at other places before I bought a gown. She told me that alterations are 700 dollars! Which I know for a fact that is way over priced. I could not find any dress that I liked and so I showed her a picture of a Maggie Sottero dress I liked. She told me that they had it in the back but I could only try it on if I was willing to pay for it, and the dress was $2,500. At that moment I told my mom and friends I wanted to leave and this was ridiculous. I cried when i left. My friend went back in the store and started telling off Dorothy, but Dorothy cut her off and got Mary (the owner) So my friend complained tp Mary. Then Mary asked me to come back into the store so she could apologize. I accepted her apology but told her I would never come back again. I know that these Maggie Sottero gowns are being over priced because I have shopped at other bridal stores that carry Maggie dresses and the prices did not start at $1,200 or even close to it. Looking for dresses is suppose to be a happy time, not a high pressured sales time or a time to be treated rudely. It is not even about the price, it is about the way the treat customers. If I had tried on the dress and loved it so much then I would have happily paid for it, but not after being treated badly.
Cons: Bad customer service, over priced gowns and alterations.
