Worst

I returned several days in a row for a part he said would take overnight. He became more rude each day and I never could figure out why. I went elsewhere for my part.

what do you expect? 8/26/2008

At first I was a bit hesitant to speak to manny. He has a mean look , but shortly into our conversation I realized he was a sweet and caring person. To be extremely honest i know nothing about bikes , i was worried he would tell me a million things were wrong with my bike and charge me a ton of money ( I did not have). I had gone to several other places were the said i needed about 200 dollares worth of fixing , I felt as though because i was a clueless women (when it came to bikes) they wanted to make easy money off me. Manny was different , he was honest on what i needed and what i could still use and only charged me 25 dollares WOW!!! I was asked by 4 different workers if i needed help , they have great customer service. I even shared a few laughs with them , especially with manny. If you do choice to go to manny""s (which i hope you do) dont be scared , because although he may look mean he's not. If you want an affordable place that wont trick you into buying things you dont need .......................go to manny's. Pros: Parking , Service , PRICE more

Mannys' is needed 1/2/2008

My mountain bike needed a tune up , I spoke to a long time friend ( a local of venice) Manny's Lowrider bike shop was recommend . First let me start by saying that , the shop was as busy as a lemonade stand on a hot afternoon. Manny is a warming and very helpful person , and extremely generous. There was a waiting period for service but well worth it. Manny said it would take 4 days , then I would be able to pick up my bike. I came back after four days and my bike was ready. I also bought a lock at the time, when it came time to charging I did not have enough money. Manny told me I could come back and pay him later. A total stranger , had enough trust to let me pay later. You can tell just by the grease on Mannys? hands that he is hard working. Glazz90291 stated that Manny was rude , but I completely disagree. Its peoples poor judgment , like that of glazz90291 , that make it hard for business like Manny's. Our city needs more people like Manny and more places like the shop!!!! Pros: friendly inexpensive Cons: busy more

poor service 12/20/2007

Thought I would support my local bike shop... never again after this experience... took bike #1, beater mountain bike, was told it would be ready in 2 days... took 3 weeks, was never called after checking at least 4 times in person and told repeatedly he would ""call me tomorrow"". Then it wasn't fixed properly, had to go back, brake cables not tightened, derailleur not shifting properly. While I was waiting for bike # 1 to be fixed I brought in another bike, it needed a basic overhaul, it's been there a month now, he replaced some cables but that's it. It was supposed to be done a week ago, I'm going to have take it back unrepaired. Manny is rude, never calls when he says he would, he just doesn't call. Yeah, the place is ""full of characters"" but that doesn't make up for the extremely poor service in the repair department. Don't get your bike fixed there! Cons: no service, takes a long time, more

Manny's rocks! 11/16/2006

Manny must live in the shop because he is ALWAYS there. The staff is very friendly and Manny is always willing to help. I have bought my bike's accessories here and Manny always mounts them on my bike for me, free of charge. They have an great selection of cruisers, both new and old and there's always an eclectic mix of characters hanging out. Manny's is also great for Burning Man bike purchases and his rates are WAY more competitive than the trendier bike shops in the neighborhood. more
