Thought I would support my local bike shop... never again after this experience... took bike #1, beater mountain bike, was told it would be ready in 2 days... took 3 weeks, was never called after checking at least 4 times in person and told repeatedly he would ""call me tomorrow"". Then it wasn't fixed properly, had to go back, brake cables not tightened, derailleur not shifting properly. While I was waiting for bike # 1 to be fixed I brought in another bike, it needed a basic overhaul, it's been there a month now, he replaced some cables but that's it. It was supposed to be done a week ago, I'm going to have take it back unrepaired. Manny is rude, never calls when he says he would, he just doesn't call. Yeah, the place is ""full of characters"" but that doesn't make up for the extremely poor service in the repair department. Don't get your bike fixed there!
