Disappointment 7/7/2011

I have lived in the Saint Clair Shores area for over thirty years and have always had problems with one salesperson (Larry???). I avoided the jewlery repair area and mostly have bought gifts at Maloof's. I really think that I may not ever return (not that anyone would care). My son and I came in the store with an engagement ring and bands and were looking for suggestions on how to reset and other ideas. The salesperson told us to go back where we bought it becasue there wasn't much he could do. Well, then youi are a pathetic jewlery store. We immediatley left and went to a "real" jewlery store and came out with an engagement ring, a pair of earrings and a necklace. Larry couldn't figure that out?? I have spoken to others in the area and they immediately knew who I was talking about and their comment to me was ....he makes you feel like your money is no good with him. I wonder in this market today why he still has a job??? He must be related to someone. No matter, he did us a favor but I will spread the word to have other stay away!!! Thanks for nothing in thirty years!!!! more

I always recommend Maloofs to anyone looking to buy a wedding ring. We bought the diamond for my ring here and were very impressed with everything. The salesman was knowledgeable and did not pressure us. He was also very respectful, which we didn't get at other jewelers because we were young. The diamond was certified and high quality. It was also priced well below other jewelers at that time. more

Visit it! 6/16/2006

Whenever I need jewelry, I always think of Maloof's. My parents went here, and I continue to. I may not buy every time, as their prices can get steep sometimes, but I always check them out. But they don't stop at jewelry. There are plenty of other gift items for anyone on your list. more

Gifts for any occasion 3/29/2006

This store is wonderful, if your ever looking to purchase a gift for anyone this is the one stop store. You have everything from jewelry to bridal shower gifts, wedding gifts, baby showers, and you can pick up a little gift at a reasonable price just for a suprise for your loved one. I've been shopping here almost 15 years and love this store. more

Great place to shop for your jewelry! 7/28/2005

This store is well known in the Shores for their jewelry and service. Very nice customer service, as well as offering Llardo and other name brand "knick knacks". Can be a bit pricey and can get quite busy! Parking lot is large so don't worry about that. They also sell beanie babies,! more

  • Back in the 1930s when economic times were tough, most kids were still scheming to cut class or line up a date for Friday night. Fred Maloof, in his mid-teens, was worried about hiring a reliable staff, doing the books and ordering enough ice cream. Maloof was probably the only kid at St. Charles Borromeo High School in Detroit who ran his own store at the age of 15! His father actually turned the family dairy bar over to him at this young age, giving flight to his illustrious retail career.Today, Maloof no longer owns the dairy bar, as jewelry has become his specialty. He is the owner of Maloof Jewelry and Gifts, an established St. Clair Shores retail institution.Maloof's customers have always been loyal. "We have second, third and fourth generation customers. People come in and tell me their grandparents bought their wedding rings from me and now they want to do the same", exclaims Maloof. The store represents one of Michigan 's largest and most respected selections of jewelry. People come from all over Michigan (and beyond ) to take advantage of the superior selection. Maloof Jewelers has twice moved to larger quarters before settling 22 years ago in its current location at 28525 Harper in St. Clair Shores..
