I had my ford F-350 bed side repaired here after I scraped it loading some parts. They were very friendly and answered all my questions. The price was very reasonable and the color match is great. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. more

MAACO is kinda known as the cheap place to get a car painted. Last year an employee wrecked a company van. Multiple quotes came back and they were in about the middle, but they promised a faster turn around. They came through, and did very good work. So... when I wrecked my car about a month ago, I took it to them. 6 days later I had my car back. Nearly 5 times faster than the last two time I wrecked a car. Say what you want, but these guys Do great work, quickly, and they are very customer friendly. Take it from a guy who has a propensity to get in auto wrecks! more

I got my whole car painted for $737 with a 4 year warranty. I got a special that they were running that included Light chip and scratch repair, urethane paint with integrated clearcloat (upgrade) and universal sealer plus a small charge for peeling clearcoat on one fender\r \r I worked with Michael who took great care of me but also had a chance to interact with Kevin who was also very attentive. Both were helpful and accommodating. I dropped in unannounced to check on my car and caught them just finishing the sanding. WOW what fine workmanship. I was impressed. every inch was sanded down. I didn't catch the gentleman's name who was sanding my car but it was clear he took pride in his work. I also met another employee who took the time to talk with me while he took great care to attach my side view mirror. I also met Joe in the detail shop who went over every inch of my car before it got released to me. He took the time to tell me what kind of products he used to get the car to sparkle like that and extended an invitation for me to stop back if i noticed anything that needed a touch up. I was struck at every interaction by the integrity of the people I was dealing with. Quite rare today I'd say.\r \r The experience was not without its hiccups. I got a call on the day I was expecting to pick up my car and Michael told me that he was not happy with how the hood came out. He wanted to keep the car for an extra two days to redo the hood and fix a small peel on the side view mirror. Both were fixed when I came back for my car and the job was top notch. I think its easy when everything happens correctly, but its a true test of the quality of a company to see how they handle the problems when they happen and this Maaco passed with flying colors. I think it would have been easy for them to try to pass off a substandard job to me and see if i complained but instead, they held the work to higher standards and kept the car until it was done right.\r \r One last bit of advice. Maaco does not remove lights and trim before painting. (not sure if you can get this for an additional fee or not) They tape off instead. I opted to remove all the lights and trim myself to hopefully get a better paint job. I would recommend you doing this as well. its not as hard as it seems. I only needed a 10mm ratchet and a Phillips head screw driver to get mine done. I should also say that I could not remove the weather stripping around the windshield so I had to let them just tape that off and it came out just as good as the areas where i had pulled the trim. \r \r I'm happy to be able to recommend Maaco on N. Lamar for quality paint job at a great price. I hope to follow up on this review to see how the paint holds up over time. more

Best value for your buck! 4/30/2009

My aunt gave me her old '96 Lexus SC300 after my 280z finally rusted through. The Lexus had been sitting in the hot California sun for about 10 years and caused the paint to peel off as a result. Pros: Friendly, fast, did a great overall job. Cons: There were some "minor imperfections." more

Horrible service!!!! Definitely don't recommend! 3/17/2009

This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was told I didn't need an appointment and then when I took my car in they said they were too busy to take my car so I would have to bring it back. I tried explaining that their reasoning made no sense. To say there is no need to make an appointment yet turn down customers for not having one is ridiculous! No one there seemed to care about how to resolve the problem. Pathetic! Pros: None Cons: Pathetic customer service more

I won't be back 2/23/2009

I really wanted to get the work done here HOWEVER the man in the office named Robert was so incredibly rude to me (and everyone I saw him attend to), that I decided to take my business( and my money) else where. Pros: none Cons: rude robert more

bad experience with Maaco 2/2/2009

I had minor body work done and a paint job. Maaco did a poor job with the body work. While the dent they took out looks fine, the body panels were not corrected as well as they said they would be (I wasn't expecting a mirracle, just a good panel to panel fit). If I had known what the final product would look like, I would not have had Maaco do the work. While the bid for the work was several hundred dollars lower than the 5 or so body shops I spoke with, the work was substandard which explains the lower cost. The poor work performed on the panels was not even brought up until I noticed them during the inspection. The paint job looks good, but the clean up was not performed well (paint on stearing wheel, paint on rearview mirror). Pros: inexpensive Cons: work not performed well, not timely, and cost more than initial estimate more

Excellent work for a reasonable price 11/2/2008

I got a full body truck paint job for roughly $1,100 (before tax) at Maaco, (their high level option). The work looks gorgeous, and my truck looks like new. I'm no expert on painting, but the application appears perfect and extremely proffessional. The little/less important things suggest an excellent level of professionalism/quality as well, clean/organized shop, nicely cleaning and detailing the vehicle inside and out. The customer service was fantastic, (Tony). Very clear explanation of options, (see below), friendly/accomodating, does exactly what he says he will or better (phone calls, tracking down answers, time estimates), very fast turnaround (2 days), and went out of his way to research/track down an estimate for other work their shop doesn't do. I can't vouch for how the paint will hold up after 5 or 10 years, but it sure looks like it is an excellent quality long term paint job, and came w/ a 5 yr warranty.. Pros: Clear explanation of options, Professional/Quality work, Good/Reasonable pricing, Fast turnaraound, Great customer service. Cons: Only one location @ far north, The second guy in the office was kind of a grump. more
