I went to this salon based on the reviews of this site. I paid over $200 for a cut, highlight, and a pedicure, and I am sorry to say I was not satisfied. My cut left my hair flat ...

I have visited several hair salons in the past year in search of the perfect cut and highlights. My search is over- Bethany rocks- I didn't realize my hair could look so good! Chose her because I read Citysearch and the great reviews, so happy I did and thought I would return the favor!!! more

When the ""sister-owners"" opened Lux Salon they recruited the most talented stylists/colorists in the area, designed a beautiful, calming place to escape the stress of the day and set a standard for client satisfaction that is unsurpassed. Every person who works there goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and at ""home"". Erin has done my color, cut and now highlights for 8 years, and she works magic! And she is one of the sweetest, most caring people you will ever meet. Debra is one of the ""sister/owners"" who also does an outstanding color & cut. One visit to Lux Salon and you will see that team has brought CLASS and HEART to the profession of hair stylists. more

Love love love Bethany Wish! I 5/25/2012

Love love love Bethany Wish! I recently moved from Connecticut and was dreading the process of finding a new stylist, but she is everything I could ask for. She listens to my ideas, helps me decide, and does a spectacular job - I never have to worry that my highlights will be too chunky, or about any missed roots. My blonde is that exact shade of light/honey that I've always been striving for, and she never 'trims' more than the 1/2 inch I ask her for! All in all, I am super confident walking in to Lux that I will come out happy and looking great :) more

Nicole Murphy does a fabulous cut and color! 5/17/2012

Nicole Murphy is an amazing hair stylist! She has been coloring/cutting my hair for over 5 years. In those 5 years, she has colored my hair from blonde to dark brown. Nicole's color and highlights look really natural and I always get compliments on my hair color. A lot of times I am not sure what hair style I want, so I just let her do whatever she thinks would look best...and it always does! I completely trust her because I know it will turn out great! Every time I go into Lux Salon I have a great experience. The ladies at the front desk always remember my name and always offer me something to drink. I always look forward to my hair cut/color, so I can relax for a couple hours and Lux Salon makes that very easy! more

Best Haircut & Color! 5/9/2012

I went to Lux Salon for a haircut and highlights with Beth a new stylist at the salon. She took time to listen to what I wanted and then offered highlights with multi-dimensional color which I LOVE. Beth is very personable and friendly I highly recommend her if you are looking for a 'new' summer look that will brighten your face and make you feel beautiful. more

Kasey Fry is Absolutely Amazing!! 4/11/2012

I have been going to Kasey Fry for a few months now and have been absolutely thrilled with my hair each time. I naturally have dark brown hair, but through years have added a lot of blonde highlights. I am quite picky when it comes to having my hair highlighted and Kasey has done EXACTLY what I ask every time! She is an absolute perfectionist when doing any woman's hair, especially blondes. She also does a great job with hair cuts! Kasey takes her time and really listens to what the customer wants and suggests many ideas and useful products for your specific hair type. I would 100% recommend seeing Kasey Fry at Lux! more

How is the best stylist in Raleigh affordable? Ask Allison 4/4/2012

I always make my appointments with Allison, and she is as talented as she is beautiful! Most of the clientele is female, but I see a decent amount of guys like me here. Typically such highly regarded salons can be cold and intimidating, but not here. Staff is very warm and friendly. I am not sure how they have maintain such a unique mix of experienced and new up and coming talent but clearly they are doing something (everything?) right to have this many great stylists to choose from. If you know the look you want they will make it happen. If you are unsure what you want they will make a great look for you. I recommend making your appointment a few weeks out as the word is out on this place. more

I have never been happier with my hair. The health, the color & the cut are better than ever. Allison is on the cutting edge of style. She listens carefully and works hard to duplicate the look you imagine. She is friendly and approachable. Best salon in town!! more

FUSSY NEW YORKER VERY PLEASED 10/14/2011

I recently moved from NYC to Wake Forest & was most concerned about finding a great colorist/stylist.Prior to my move I had my hair done by the same hairdresser for more than 25 years. After much research I decided on LUX salon. When I called for an appoitment I discussed my concerns with the receptionist & she decided Kristen would be the best fit for me. On arrival I was promptly greeted by Kristen. She gave me time to explain what it was that I wanted & assured me she would be able to give me a great cut with color & highlights to my liking. We chatted about my move & how much she loved NC after moving here herself from the Northeast region. I felt so comfortable I forgot all the anxiety I was having prior to my appointment. The final result was amazing! I got the trendy short cut I was accoustomed to along with great color & highlights. I called all my friends back in NYC to let them know that all my concerns were gone....I found a great hairdresser! Now onIy if I can find great pizza...... more

Christina Preddy- My family stylist!!!! 9/16/2011

110% satisfied everytime I walk in the door! My husband, daughters, and I are ALL are clients of hers. She does my color and cut, my husband's haircut, and funky new fun (temporary) things for my girls to enjoy like the featherlocks they recently got. I have had problems with horrible tones or even the dreaded zebra stripes from previous stylists and she gets them blended and natural EVERYTIME! My husband has never been happier with his cuts being in a professional work environment. My girls are hard to please and they LOVE how sweet she is to them. Overall the best salon I have been to in YEARS! more

Best Salon in Raleigh! Lux has such a stunning, upbeat, friendly staff! I always feel at home when I'm at the salon. Great place for nails and waxing too. I also love the amazing selection of products to choose from. Kristin Horvath is my color expert! She always gets my color perfect, mixing high lights and low lights. I've been happy here for years. And the best part is the Starbucks right next door :) more

Go see Alli. Right now. I mean it. This second. Schedule an appointment. For color, cut, style, there isn't better out there. She is knowledgeable about what would and wouldn't work with your face, hair, and even personality once she gets to know you, which she will. She's personable and remembers you which an extra bonus I like in a hairstylist. As for Lux in general? It's great! Lovely receptionists offer you a drink the moment you come in. If you have to wait, the chairs are comfy. The atmosphere is that of a upper class spa not your typical hair salon. High quality products are all they use. more

Every woman understands the significance of having a trusting relationship with her hair stylist. Recently my hairdresser of many years left the business to begin a family, so I was faced with the agonizing chore of finding a new stylist. After three underwhelming visits to Moxie Salon (3 strikes and you're out), I called Lux Salon and scheduled an appointment with Jenna. I am so happy that I did! I knew after the first appointment that I'd found my dream match! Jenna's superb skills are matched by her ability to actually listen to what I want. Throughout the haircutting process, she checks in with me to make certain that I'm satisfied, and to discuss options. I'm happy from the moment I leave the salon through the time that I return 5 weeks later. I don't have to do the ""tweaking"" at home that I've done after visiting other salons. Recently I referred a friend to Jenna and she had the same marvelous results from the very first appointment (this friend also had unsatisfying experiences at Salon Moxie--with a different stylist)! I highly recommend Jenna. In addition to being very talented she has a friendly and delightful personality. What a relief to have found a new hairstyling home! more

Fabulous Lux Salon.... Erin Reese is a Super!! 4/14/2011

Lux Salon has such a Relaxing & Cheerful atmosphere. All the Stylist are so lively & complimentary. Erin Reese is my phenominal stylist. She makes my experience so special. Erin encouraged me to let my hair grow long and created a special style for me and the compliments have been great. She personally suggest salon products that she knows will work well & good for my hair. These products are available right there in the salon. Introduce yourself to a new hair style experience at Lux Salon and request Erin, she is a hairstyle artist. more
