Wonderful Salon ...Kendra's Awsome 4/12/2011

I have been going to Lux since it opened and to Kendra even when she was somewhere else. Kendra always gives me the look I want and tells me how to fix it myself at home. Kendra also suggests products that will help me maintain my hair and these products are all sold right there at Lux. If you need any kind of Salon Services I would recommend Lux and Kendra!!!!! more

Awesome salon!!!!! Love Me Some Erin R. 4/7/2011

I have been going to Lux for years now and could not imagine going anywhere else. The salon is so pretty and the staff are always professional. Erin Reese has been doing my hair for at least 6 years now. She is pretty much AWESOME!!!!!! Everytime I leave from getting my hair done by Erin I feel like a new confident woman. I will be moving to Wilmington in a few months and will be making the trip back to Raleigh to get my hair done at Lux. That's how much I love Lux and Erin:) more

Latest trends and techniques 4/4/2011

My stylist, Deb, and some of the other wonderful stylists at Lux just came back from an advanced class at the Redken Exchange in NYC. I love when I sit in Deb's chair, and she tells me she's learned a new cut & color technique she'd love to try on me. I'm NEVER disappointed. I know that no matter how extreme or tame the technique, she'll tailor it to my individual tastes. I'm really lucky to have a stylist that enjoys pushing the education envelope and hires like minded stylists, in that regard. more

Great salon, wonderful experience! 4/2/2011

I've been going since the shop opened several years ago. All the stylists are very nice and make me feel quite special. They always greet me by my name when i enter the door. The salon is quite high tech with all the latest equipment. I especially love the halo dryers, a gentle heat encircles your head while your hair is drying! I always come home, feeling relaxed after a visit. I also love that I can get nails done, pedicure, hair cut, and wax all at one salon. Great place to spend the afternoon getting pampered! more

Great Salon, Nicole is the best! 4/2/2011

I've been going to Nicole at Lux for over two years, and I will never go to anyone else as long as I live in Raleigh. She does a great job every single time, and is friendly and professional. The whole Salon is full of friendly people who remember your name and help you with anything you need. Very high quality service, great staff, beautiful facility, and Nicole is the greatest. You can relax and enjoy the pampering as soon as you walk in the door. I always leave feeling great and happy with the service and my great haircut. more

Kristin has been my hairdresser for over 5 years. She is knowledgeable about all the latest styling techniques and products which helps me stay abreast of the latest trends while at the same time remaining ""age appropriate"". The LUX staff is always pleasant and professional going out of their way to make me feel special.In todays world it's rare that I feel my business is appreciated but LUX and Kristin are the ""creme de la creme""!!!!! more

Christina is Great! 3/29/2011

Christina Preddy is my stylist and I have been a client for over a year. Christina recently relocated to Lux Salon and I am so excited for her and myself. She has tons of talent and I trust her with my hair - and that is saying a lot! I am an on-air (TV) co-host for a shopping channel and represent my company on TV - so you can only imagine the stress of getting the hair just right. In a sense I am the face (and hair) of the company I work for so the hair needs to look great! I have naturally alburn hair that is turning more brown the older I get. Christina has worked her magic with the color at Lux and I now have that georgous natural alburn hair color back. As for my hair cut...just don't know where to begin...Christina really has that natural talent and love for cutting and styling hair. I could never say enough about Christina's hair cutting abilities. Even more she is still eagar to learn and continues to keep her skills and styles up to date and fresh. My latest hair style by Christina allows me to go straight & sleek or scrunched and messy. I really love it! more

Alli is everything I was searching for and more! 3/27/2011

I've been visiting Lux and Alli for about two years now. I was searching for a great salon and someone that could handle cutting my thick, unruly hair and give me great color as well. Lux is an amazing salon and the people are always friendly and great. I couldn't have found a better stylist in Alli. She always has great suggestions for color (I change it a lot) and I've never left unhappy with a cut. I'm always getting asked who does my hair and getting complimented on how well done it is. (I've even had someone attempt to mimic my color and style at another salon. Their stylist didn't have nearly the skills Alli did and it was a failure.) One of the things that has always impressed me is how long my cut has lasted. Alli takes the time to make sure your cut is good for you and your hair type. It lasts until you have your next appointment and you don't have those two weeks of horrible style. It's amazing! On top of all of that? Alli is just a great person. She's fun, funny, personable and easy to talk to. The hours I'm in the chair always fly right by because we chat about anything and everything. If you want a fabulous experience, go to Lux. If you want the best color and cut you've ever received? Go to Alli. You won't regret it. more

I've been going to Lux Salon for just about 2 years and see Alli. She always does a wonderful job on my hair and really listens to what I want and pays attention to what NY goals are with my hair. Alli never cuts too much or colors to dark, it's perfect every time!! Go to Lux and ask for Alli!! more

Best Salon in Raleigh 3/10/2011

I have been going to Lux for a couple of years and it's more than awesome. The place is ran so nice that you almost never wait for your appointment. While that seems impossible, I normally have my hair done right on time versus waiting...Also the staff is friendly and personable. Deborah is my stylist and she is the most professional yet friendly person around. She does a top notch job and really listens to your wants and offers her expertise to get you the best look possible. I always look forward to going there, it's relaxing and you are treated like #1. more

Worth a Six Hour Drive! 2/19/2011

I have been going to Lux Salon for little over a year now and absolutely love going there and LOVE my hair! Last summer I was relocated for work and I still make a 6 hr drive ( both ways) to see Erin to work her magic! When she was on maternity leave I was entrusted into Kristin Corry's hands and feel she did a beautiful job as well. I have complicated hair and I feel confident I will look amazing when I leave....and I always do!! Erin introduced me to some great hair products which I still use but I never feel pressured to purchase products. I love the spa like feeling the salon has and the cool hair dryers...very high tech... I feel relaxed and renewed when I get my hair done and always look forward to going there despite the long drive! The staff as a whole are extremely professional and punctual and I find that everyone always has a smile...definitely service oriented but not crazy expensive. I plan to continue to patron Lux salon and love that it is a family business but run like a Fortune 500 corp. Definitely book Erin and Kristin C. In advance. They book up fast! more

I love my hair dresser Nicole Murphy 1/25/2011

I have been going to Nicole for Years now and I absolutely love her! My hair is so important to me so for me to go to the same hair dresser is huge. She always does a great job and one of the sweetest girls I know. She always goes out of her way for me and a very good listener. She is a genious when it comes to changing up my hair when I want something different. Lux is the best salon I have ever been too. I highly recommend you to go and go see my girl Nicole. more

I have been going to Jenna M. at Lux for a year now. I absolutely love her! She listens to any concerns I have about my hair. She provides me with solutions for my concerns. She has been great in getting my hair to a healthy state after a few years of home coloring. As a stylist, she's patient, caring and encouraging. She's also hilarious! For the first time in YEARS I am getting compliments on my hair! Talk about a self-esteem boost!! I thoroughly enjoy my entire experience while I am there. The salon is very clean and the entire staff is professional yet you are treated like you are family. It's a great salon and I couldn't recommend a better stylist than Jenna! more

Ok, I may be slightly biased, but Kristin Corry is the HEAT when it comes to color, cut, comedy, consideration (I NEVER EVER, EVER HAVE HAD TO WAIT) and CUSTOMER SERVICE. In fact, SERVICE IS ALL AROUND TOP NOTCH at LUX SALON in North Raleigh. I mean, I would drive across town for her to do my hair...... Oh wait.. I DO! I love my stylist. She always does my hair exactly as I want...... IN OTHER WORDS SHE LISTENS TO ME! REFRESHING APPROACH, UH? HELL YES IT IS and WHY I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE! On to the SALON! \r LUX SALON ROCKS! \r I’m always greeted and offered coffee or ? , and I gladly accepted coffee during the crazy winter weather a week ago. Jenna is SO Talented Try her!!! 1/16/2011

I am in love with everything about Lux Salon!! Jenna, my stylist- AMAZING! Sharon, Chrissy, Deb and Karen- the owners- so thoughtful, real and compassionate! I am a young breast cancer survivor and also the Founder and Director of a non profit for women coping with breast cancer. The girls at Lux have not only embraced the work I do, but they graciously have set up events and fundraisers for my public charity and they are always open to working with girls who are losing their hair to chemotherapy. They have styled wigs for girls that I have referred, shaved heads, and most importantly shown love and compassion. Lux is not your typical salon. They are so warm and inviting. Jenna my stylist is AMAZING! Everyone is so envious of the amazing blowouts she does for me that look very Hollywood!! She is so on top of her game and so creative. She is funny..wonderful to talk with and totally gets it- whatever look you are going for..she is open to try it! Being at Lux for me is a getaway and I strongly recommend Jenna's head massages (just an extra $15- out of this world!) Thx to All the Lux crew for having such great hearts and making all my experiences there so excellent. more

Lux Salon is Phenomenal!!!!! Best place to have you hair done in Raleigh!!! Alli Brown has been my stylist for a little over 2 years now and there aren't enough positive words in the dictionary to describe how awesome she really is at what she does!!! :) Her work is exceptional, she is so talented and personable!!!! I wouldn't trust anyone else to do my hair. If you're looking for a new stylist....Alli is your girl, trust me, she won't let you down and everyone will be raving about your amazing new hair style!!!! :) more

The BEST in NC and SC! 1/14/2011

I have been going to Deb Richards, who opened Lux Salon a few years ago, for over 12 years and she is AMAZING! I have never met any stylist that is as experienced, personable, and talented as she is. I moved to SC over 3 years ago and still go back to Deb because no one can do what she can. I have NEVER worried about getting a bad haircut/color, etc. I just sit down and let Deb work her magic and every time, I walk out feeling great about myself and my hair. You should know that every visit to Lux Salon is like being in a relaxing spa. Everyone is professional, friendly, and customer oriented. You can tell that their clients are their top priorities. :) If you want to constantly receive compliments on your hair, go see Deb! You will not be disappointed. more
