My wife cooked tonight. And went to sleep at exactly 8:58 before I could eat. Thank God you guys stayed open long enough to serve me real food. My heroes. Delicious!!! Friendly heroes of columbia. more

Love it! 5/28/2009

This place has been a staple for traditional SC BBQ for as long as I can remember. The BBQ is awesome, but so are all the sides, the chicken, and there is no shortage in selection of sauces. If you like pulled pork, give this a try. Pros: Awesome selection, killer food more

Little Pigs, Big Taste 5/1/2009

It's an inside southern picnic. The food is southern and the artwork priceless. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

The Best By Far!!! 3/17/2009

This is BY FAR the best barbque buffet place I have found in Columbia since I moved here in 1991! The food is always fresh and hot, and the price is right. The people are friendly and quick to say "Have a nice day".... That means a lot these days in my opinion! You won't find a better selection of barbque, chicken, ham, fish, veggies, hush puppies (the BEST EVER!), fried okra, and a little something for even the pickiest eatin' kid! The mac 'n cheese is the best around, and if you can't find something to fill up on in here, you must be an alien! Pros: $10 covers all you can eat plus your drink! Cons: The ONLY thing I don't like is the plastic forks! more

great place to get vinegar Q in South Carolina...and that's rare 10/17/2008

this is the best Q place we have found.we like the 3 types of Q.we are from NC and love our vinegar Q and this is the only place we have found that has it on the buffet.the whole family can find something they like cause there are so many items to choose from.the food is good old country cooking, not some cheap processed buffet food like most places put out. Pros: good country cooking, variety Cons: finding it ,off the beaten path more

BEST bbq in South Carolina! 5/21/2008

It was like an "on the ground church picnic." Down home cooking @ its best! We loved the food and service. Pros: All you can eat or order from menu Cons: All you can eat...not good for a diet! more

In early 1965, Little Pigs of America filed for bankruptcy and the Columbia operation changed its operating name to the Little Bar-B-Q Hut. It continued to operate under that name until June of 1978 at which time it moved to its current location at 4927 Alpine Road in Columbia, SC.

From the small counter service with a seating capacity of 36, it transitioned into a large buffet service with a seating capacity of 160, back under the Little Pigs Barbecue name.
