Dont Do IT! 9/15/2010

These apartments are not nearly what was represented to me when I signed my lease initially. When I toured the apartments they showed me an ""updated"" apartment, including crown molding and 6 panel doors. Those things were not installed in mine. Not such a big deal I thought so I let it go. Next is the first time I had to call maintenance after hours, I called due to some exposed wiring on my AC unit after the landscaping people accidentally weed whacked them in half. No one called me back for 2 and a half hours. Fine again I thought. They did fix my AC the next day. Several times since then, I've called to have things repaired, it's reported to be repaired and it's still broken. The back door has been broken since we moved in. It's been ""fixed"" 3 times, the dryer wont dry a load without putting it through 2 or 3 times, it's been ""fixed"" twice. When I've tried to discuss these things with the front office staff, they are rude and uncaring. They have your money, why do they care if the apartment has everything in working order? Apparently they don't. When my 1st year lease is up, I will be leaving. It would be right now if there was anyway possible to get out of the lease. Please keep looking, at Lion's Creek all you will find is dissapointment. more

Great Place to Live 6/25/2008

I have lived here for a little over a year. It is a good place to live. Except for the fact that both of my apartments have been flooded by my upstairs neighbors I have had no problems. It is true that people let their dogs mess everywhere. They imposed a 25 fee for people who do not clean up after their dogs but it does not seem to work. It is pretty nasty especially when you have kids that would like to play outside. The staff is always very nice and usually very efficient in getting work orders done and helping assist with problems. The water bill for these apartments is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!! It just doubled and they actually tried to triple it. And the drive is pretty far for most people. I really like the neighborhood but I may be forced to move if the gas prices and water bill keeps going up. Pros: Great Neighborhood, Staff, and Amenities Cons: Far away from town, water bill more

Nice apartments, beware of move-out inspections! 8/7/2007

Apartment community is kept clean, except for the constant issue of residents not cleaning up after dogs. Not a good idea to allow units to have large dogs, let alone more than 1 large dog per unit. Many people had 2-4 dogs!! Not a trashy place though. Tends to be on the 'partying place' type of apts. I found it noisy in the summer as there is a popular bar/hang out across the street. It's close to the lake. Alot of rent sharing maybe. Parking is sometimes very scarce especially in the townhomes. There is not assigned parking, which is bad if you actually live there and work! Very prompt on all maintenance calls. NO major issues with the structures. Rent is a bit too high for what you get though. Townhomes need a full fenced in back patio to be really considered private and worth the $ that you pay. Additionally, they should have a doorbell considering that they are 2-story units. WARNING: BE VERY CRITICAL during your move in inspection. GO THRU IT WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB AND INCLUDE EVERYTHING THAT IS SLIGHTLY WRONG. CARPET, WINDOWS, SCREENS, APPLIANCES, FLOORING. They gig you when you move out, so don't scratch countertops, appliances, stain carpet, patios, etc. BE VERY meticulous in your move in inspection. Attach several pages, AND KEEP COPIES!!!! Call in ALL maintenence issues, no matter how small. Carpet holes, etc. Keep a paper trail. Pros: Nice landscaping, nice amenities Cons: Parking, move-out inspection procedures more
