Houston Hidden Treasure 12/22/2011

My sister and I went to the restaurant this afternoon. When I walked in I wanted to walk out but my sister said let's try it. I am sooo glad I did. The bartender (might have been the owner) made us feel so welcomed and at ease. The wine was wonderful and I had the crab cake and she had the salmon. Both were very good. We will definately be going back. more

Native Houstonian, seen them come and go, this is very nice 3/6/2009

Above average cuisine, prepared very carefully, always very good. I am born in Houston, worked here 50 years, retired to the Texas brush country. But this is where I go for a nice dinner when I am back in town. Been eating there for years. If you haven't heard of it or haven't been there, you are missing out. Small, cozy, nice people, but tastefully l aid out. Never feels crowded, even when its full. Which happens pretty often. They're very nice about reservations, do their best. Owner is a good man, knowledgeable in his trade and will probably remember your name after your first visit. I don't know how he does it. Good bar too, always a good wine available too. Pros: very good food, beautiful presentation, consistent Cons: None really, they've made it work very well more

wonderful place 2/16/2009

I have been to Lexington several times for lunch, dinner and we had office x-mas party one year. Absolutely the best food and service of any place I have been in Houston. The pablano (sp?) soup is my very favorite. Service is incredible and the owner is the kindest most inviting man. Nothing but the best here. I recommend that everyone try this at least once you will go back. more

Small place with Big Flavor! 1/17/2009

A restored house creates the perfect small intimate restaurant. Not only is the atmosphere nice and quiet and beautiful, but the food and service made me feel truly special. Everything we ordered (crab cakes, baby greens and apple salad, and sea bass) was plated with care and tasted wonderful. The fish was cooked perfectly and the flavors blended masterfully. I really have no words. I would highly recommend this restaurant and i plan on returning soon. Pros: Ambience, quiet, food Cons: not easy to find more

So GLAD we discovered this place! Never knew it existed! 9/30/2008

We had planned to go to Mia Bella for lunch, and when we got there, they had apparently had some severe storm damage - yet we smelled the tasty aroma of food, and realized the building across the street was also a restaurant. I had never even noticed it, but we gave it a try and I am SO GLAD WE DID! The owner is a sweetheart, the service was wonderful, and THE FOOD! OH my goodness my mouth is watering - I finished the leftovers for lunch today. It is a very cozy atmosphere, seems to have many regulars, and the owner, Hossein, seems to know them all by name. The price is extremely reasonable. I recommend the Chicken Pionini (sp?) and we also had a customized order (he says the menu is just a guide, they are very accommodating!) of angel hair, mushrooms, marsalla sauce, and fresh meatballs! If they are serving the Cream of Onion soup - ORDER IT! We will be visiting this one regularly for sure :) Pros: FOOD, atmosphere, price, service/owner hospitality Cons: That I didn't know about it sooner! more

Best kept secret in Houston 2/20/2008

I have been there on several occations and I can truly say this is one of the best kept secrets in Houston. After just one visit they new my name and drink order. After the third visit they knew my all my favorites on the menu and reserved the table I liked to sit at. The service was attentive yet not obtrusive. The decore is romantic and other guest are always so enjoyable. This is by far my favorite place to eat in Houston! I am more impressed each time I go and wish more restraurants would take note. more

YUMMY 2/6/2008

delicious fine food good wine selection and fabulous staff . A+ on all levels without being stuffy. a new favorite! Pros: everything was perfect Cons: personally didnt like tv at bar, but was a minimal distraction more

So wonderful - a true gem! 6/16/2005

My friend and I went to dinner last night at Lexington Grill, and one word describes our experience: Incredible! From the moment the owner greets you at the door, you feel so very special. The ambeince was so romantic (I can't wait to go back with my husband...but would certainly go again with girlfriends). The food was divine, the flavors-amazing! The service was impeccable. The decor is unique and makes you feel like you are in a quant restaurant in the wine country. This definitely does not feel like Houston! Even the street makes you feel like you've gone on vacation and arrived into some quant little town! I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion, a romantic night out or even a night out with friends! It's not just a meal you'll partake in...but a whole experience! ENJOY!!!! Pros: food, ambience, service more

Great food/romantic/Unique 3/31/2005

My partner and I went to Lexington Grille to celebrate his promotion. Around 8:30pm on Wednesday we headed out for the restaurant. We were seated quickly, took a few minutes to receive our water and menus, but after that all was good. We both started out with salads and two cocktails. I had the Chicken with roasted tomatoes and he had the pork chops. The restaurant is very cute, and the owner came to the table about 3 times during our stay. We also noticed him taking the time out to talk to others. I asked Hossein if he was the owner and indeed he was. He brought a dessert to the table as this was our first time and it was something nice to celebrate my partner's promotion. We will definitely be back and tell others of a nice find in Houston. Pros: Romantic, Great food, Owner takes time more

Food is amazing....everything is made from scracth and is healthy. Waiters are professional and friendly. The owner will stop by and pour you a cup of coffee. Just wonderful. Pros: Food, Service more
