A WHOLE NEW OUTLOOK 2/21/2011

Was at a low point with my hair when a friend showed up with a fantastic new cut and color. I immediately made an appt. at the Sonoma location where I had the great fortune to meet Len. After a brief consultation, he set to work and I emerged with a whole new outlook on the world with my now easy to deal with "do." I spend alot of time in the out of doors and after a day of recreating, would have to wear a hat just to go to the store. Now, I just give it a toss and I am ready to go. Have retired my hot rollers after 25 years. Thanks Len. See you next month. more

At last! Len in Sonoma! 2/3/2011

I have been using the same hair stylist for the past 10 years. Reluctant to try someone else, my husband convinced me to try a stylist closer to our Sonoma home. I was fortunate to have heard about Len, I tried him at his Sonoma location (he is there a few days a week), and absolutely loved the result! more

All I can say is WOW! Well, ok, thats not all! I just had my hair colored, highlighted and had an amazing, awesome haircut by the hair genious that is named Len. I found him on line by doing a google search, the guy is ALL over the internet. I figured he must be good! I made an appointment on line (which is more than convenient! Especially when you're at work!) that way your boss doesn't hear you talking to some lame receptionist when you're supposed to be working! Am I right?! Anyway, I went in, salon was nice enough, very chill, laid back, unpretenious, I was greeted by Len, who was warm,welcoming, and overall very friendly. I knew instantly after my 20 minute consultation with him, that I was in good hands. A good listener, he made suggestions, but respected my opinions as well. The end result, a rich color, with natural, beautiful looking highlights and the cut! OMG! I fell instantly in love with it. Only down side, I found out he only works 3 days in the city, rest of the time he's up in Sonoma, makin the ladies in the Wine Country beautiful. So I instantly made 3 follow up appointments with him! If I were you I wouldn't wait, RUSH into see him! He's about the best stylist and colorist I have had, and trust me I have had the so called "best" in New York, L.A. Chicago, forget them! Len is the only one you need. LEN is a highlite and color GOD! 12/28/2010

I have been in search of a new colorist for over a year, going from top salon to top salon, getting sub-par results. Len is the FIRST professional who took TIME to talk to me, offer his expertise about the color that would look best against my skin tone (I am platinum and wanted to stay platinum), so it was a big risk but he KNOWS what he's talking about, he's an expert and he DELIVERS. He tones down the platinum that was washing me out giving my hair depth and texture. This is no easy task to accomplish, first time he has seen my hair, most colorists take 2-3 visits just to get it right. Not Len, there is a reason all the review are EXCEPTIONAL, bc he has crafted years of training and epxerience coupled with a kind and fun delivery to make his clients trust him and listen. I'm so glad I went to see him, he is my new colorist and the BEST in SF by far! Thank you Len for gently coaxing me to tone down the platinum, your a hair color god! Not only is his work perfect but he works so fast and effortless and the conversation is fun. Every woman who wants to be a blonde should see Len, he is THE resident expert. THANK YOU LEN! more

Len, at last my hair guy for all of my needs! Thank you! 11/10/2010

I googled best hairstylist and best hair colorist on the internet and this guy Len kept coming up all over the internet, I figured he had to be pretty good. I tried to schedule an appointment with Len at his San Francisco location, but he was booked, so I decided to take a drive to Sonoma. I'm glad I did! The salon is charming, and very centrally located, the salon was clean, modern and had a great vibe! Best of all was my appointment with Len. He communicates very well (no gray areas whatsoever!) He listened, he asked questions and the result?! Amazing color! (natural, believable, but shiny and healthy!) Rich looking! (he highlighted and lowlighted my natural brown color) The cut fantastic! It just lays right, I barely need to do anything with it! Next time I will go see him in the city (as I live in San Francisco) but let me tell you ladies, if you can't get into see him in the city, then it is definitely worth the drive to Sonoma (just under an hour) But try the city location, from the looks of it on the google map, it looks like its right around the corner from Union Square. Thanks Len! I will be back, Hurray! I have found my hair guy for all of my hair needs! LEN YOU'RE THE BEST! more

Sonoma Sensation 11/4/2010

After doing a bit of research in Sonoma for a new hairstylist, I found that Len was spending part of his time at Cheveux Salon in Sonoma. I read reviews, his bio and I thought this was my man and sure enough.....I have a new sassy haircut, with fantastic blonde highlights. I love, love, love my hair. My husband, who probably wouldn't notice if I had a wart growing on my nose, was really impressed. If you are thinking about going to Len, DO! He knows his locks and is charming to boot! more

Whether in Sonoma or in San Francisco you're the best Len! 9/29/2010

I read about Len in the Sonoma paper (the Sonoma Index Tribune) decided I had been seeing my local stylist too long (wasn't really that happy with her anyway!) decided to try Len, and I am hooked! Len cut my hair brilliantly! Layered my hair so it just falls into place without a lot of styling! He also colored my hair a rich reddish-brown and added some thin caramel highlights, and Wow! Shiny, healthy asked about hair! I LOVE to tell people "Len does my hair"! With a giggle of course! Len I am hooked! Whether it's Sonoma we're talking about or in San Francisco, I know you're the best amongst the very best! Thank you Len! more

LEN DID MY HAIR AND I LOVE IT! 9/27/2010

Well if you haven't had Len cut or Hi-lite or color your hair then you are missing out !!! I am the proud owner of Cheveux Salon in Sonoma and I know when I am getting a" Fabulous hair cut and color" and Len did that for me. I love, love, love my hi lites and cut! I feel sexy and beautiful after sitting in Len's chair. He listens to you as a client and the whole experience is just wonderful! I have never written a review before on anything or anybody. I just couldn't help but write this about my new stylist Len. Warm, funny, he listens and he is talented! I had him cut and highlight my hair. I was skeptical, and a little nervous. I had read great things about him all over the internet, but when it comes to your own hair,...... well you know what I'm talking about ladies! Len made me feel comfortable, welcome and he listened to my ideas, suggestions and concerns. The end result, a rich, beautiful, REAL looking highlight (Len used 3 colors!) and a cut that still looks good 2 weeks later! Even when I dry and style it myself! Now thats the true test! Am I right? Thanks Len! I'll be back and will refer as MANY people as I can to you, I'm thrilled! Just don't book up so much that you don't have time for me! :-) more

LOVE,LOVE MY NEW HAIR!!!! 8/26/2010

I just saw Len in Sonoma at Cheveux salon, he didn't have a listing on Citysearch's Sonoma listing, so I checked and lo and behold he's on San Francisco's Citysearch (makes sense being as he works in 2 salons) Anyway, I read about Len in the local Sonoma paper a while back, but didn't book anything with him until last month! (He books up ahead in Sonoma! so if you want to see him there, do it now! I had to wait 4 weeks for an appointment!) Anyway, he welcomed me to the salon, which I immediately loved! (it's one of the finest in Sonoma!) and has a San Francisco feel to it, only very chill, not rushed, not hurried (just like Sonoma!) He introduced me to the owner Sharna, very nice lady, and the other stylists at the salon were pleasant and made me feel at home. I had been going to a stylist all the way down in Palo Alto (if you can believe that!) This person trained at DiPetro Tod in the city, but I couldn't do the commute anymore to Palo Alto! Then I found Len, when he shared with me that he also trained at DiPetro Tod in San Francisco I was convinced, and rightfully so! He gave me the most natural, beautiful, shiny highlights and he gave me a haircut that still looks good (after I washed and styled it myself!) so ladies, if you want to look your best, either come up here to Sonoma to see Len, or go to his San Francisco salon, either way, either location, you won't be disappointed! I love! Love! LOVE! my hair! Thank you Len you are my hair genius! more

I am PICKY AS HELL! 7/11/2010

I am seriously the most critical and picky guy I know for hair.....anything at that matter. I moved from the OC and have had haircuts at the best of the best. But good LORD Len is disgustingly amazing! You know when you just want not only something drastically different, but something people will see and say "Damn, your hair style is so incredible." I literally had three of coworkers immediately make an appointment the next day I came into work with my new style. He literally treats hair like art. I always think to myself, "Why am I paying you this much and it looks so average?" I mean I've had good cuts, but never anything editorial worthy. Aaaaaamazing. GO! Pros: Hair is his ART Cons: That I didn't find him sooner more

Thank God for Len!!! 7/9/2010

This is my first review here, but I've had Len cut my hair since the early 90's! He's a nice guy who is very good at what he does, but I keep coming back simply because I trust him! I know I'm in good hands, and he has never let me down! And he has a flexible schedule and a convenient location in downtown San Francisco! The only bad thing is that I've become so dependent on Len...if anything happens to him, I honestly don't know who I would let touch my hair!!! more

I used to get into San Francisco more often but with two tennage children it's next to impossible, thank god Len is up here in Sonoma as well! Pros: Excellent hairstylist and colorist! LEN is the best at his craft! 6/4/2010

All I can say is Len is the best at what he does cutting and coloring! I have tried MANY so called talented hairstylists and or colorists, none of them live up to what I just experienced with Len! I was looking for a new stylist and colorist (as my last stylist retired she said it had something to do with carpal tunnel syndrome, I think it was more like....too many drugs!) Anyway, so I googled best hairstylist and best colorist and one person kept coming up, Len of LenDoesMyHair, I figured anyone that works in two locations has got to be good, .....the demand for Len! Then I was connected to Citysearch, and after reading his MANY reviews I thought I need to give this guy a try! Well after Len had cut and colored my hair I was convinced! The color is so natural (with a few highlights around the face to lighten up my otherwise dark features) and the cut Tres Magnique! Or in plain english, Just fantastic! Another convenient feature, you can actually schedule appointments with him on line, right after doing so I received a confirmation email, as well as a 3 day in advance reminder confirmation email no annoying reminder phone call, I thought to myself, this guy is not only a talented stylist and colorist but he's a smart business person as well! So run don't walk to go see this talented, warm and friendly guy! Oh and the salon is nice too! Good atmosphere and wonderful haircare products I recommend the french one which Len had recommended I try and Once again I am convinced! I think it's called Rene Furtrer? Pros: Amazing stylist! On-line scheduling, he listens! Nice salon Cons: He is pricey But I AM WORTH IT! more

LenDoesMyHair Beautifully 6/2/2010

Before I went to see Len I looked, in terms of coloring, like a chipmunk. In terms of cut I was a sad mess. Thanks to Len's magic my hair has now a sophisticated and sun kissed look. The color is absolutely believable and does not look like it was done with a paint roller. In terms of cut I was stunned what Len could do with my unruly locks. My hair is in the shape of its life, and I had the time of my life getting it done. Pros: Quick Appointment, Easy to find, Good Follow up Cons: $$$ (but it's so worth it!!!) more

Locks of Love Haircut 5/28/2010

First off, thank you Len! Believe me when I say, thank you to the man! This is the first time I've gotten a haircut where I received this many compliments! I first reached LenDoesMyHair googling the words "Locks of Love". I was looking for someone who was familiar with the program and also someone who WASN'T going to chop off my hair and call it a day. I found citysearch with LenDoesMyHair and his reviews said it all. I highly recommend Len to anyone looking for a great haircut! [Not just for Locks of Love] Great quality for a great price! Best experience EVER!!!! 5/24/2010

I read many reviews on line, about various hairstylists but no one was as widely displayed on line than this amazing artisan Len. I found Len by doing a Google search for best haircolorist and best hairstylist which lead me to Citysearch. I have always been a skeptic at heart, reading so many reviews I thought, can this be for real? Well...I'm hear to tell you it is! I met with Len for a haircut and Highlight. It was difficult getting an appointment with him (always a good sign!) and he told me that the reason being is that he is in two locations, S.F and Sonoma, that's why! I thought. Immediately upon meeting Len I could tell I was in good hands. Knowledgeable, experienced Len put me at ease all at once. He suggested, he LISTENED (which so many hairstylists tend not to do!) and afterwards I was amazed! My highlight which looked so natural (Len shared with me that he would use 3 colors to achieve this) looked natural,shiny, healthy and didn't feel fried (best part of all!) The cut looked amazing after he cut my hair, and best part, he showed me how to recreate the look at home! And I'm hear to tell you all that I was able to do! I am thrilled with my new colorist and hairstylist, next time maybe I'll take a drive to the Wine Country to get my hair done, I mean really... Wine tasting and getting your hair done by the best colorist and hairstylist, does it get any better? Thanks Len! Pros: Skilled artisan! He listens! Scheduling on line! Nice!
