An Extra-Special Let Down 7/19/2011

Ordered flowers to congratulate a friend on a new job. I asked for white calla lilies which they didn't have and was told that they had ""nice pink ones"" as another option. I was then told that I could make it ""pop"" by adding roses to the bouquet. What I received did not say ""congratulations"" at all. Instead, it looked more like I was offering my condolences with a funeral bouquet. They charged me $200 for a bouquet that garnered no attention and no ""wow factor"" from anyone in the receivers office. And to make matters worse, when I called to express how unhappy I was they told me I could ""have the receiver return the flowers to our store and then we'll send something back out."" Oh yes, that will make him feel VERY SPECIAL, bringing back a shoddy arrangement so he can exchange them for another bouquet. I don't recommend this place, based on the quality/value of what we received and the unhelpful nature of the staff. We had high hopes and were entirely let down. I won't recommend this to friends and our office won't be using them anymore either. more

Florist With a Special Touch 6/11/2011

I first contacted Lawrence the Florist several years ago with a very special order to re-connect with a family member, and John DeWater went above and beyond to make sure that my order was just I as had hoped and was a delight to the receiver. Have been ordering with them every year since, and am not disappointed. It is nice to know that there is a local florist that I can contact online all the way from my home in Japan, and have my order prepared and delivered with care. I would highly recommend Lawrence the Florist to anyone needing flowers in the Bellevue/Seattle area. more

Great Quality, Customer Service 10/8/2009

Had a client I needed to send some flowers to - and 10 minutes in the car between meetings - called up Lawrence the Florist- explained what I needed and gave them my budget and credit card number. The whole thing took 5 minutes of my time - they were very efficient and helpful. The next day the client called to thank me for the flowers - some of the nicest she had received in a long time. She said they lasted a full 2 weeks. Since then they have been my go-to for all my flower needs - the quality is exceptional and the custom arrangements are truly unique. Pros: Free parking, location, quality, ease of ordering more

Flowers with a flair! 10/16/2008

Love Lawrence the Florist! Have used them for special occasions and know I can count on them to deliver on time, every time. Their floral arrangements are spectacular! And their prices are reasonable. If you have the time, best thing to do is go down to their shop near Bellevue Square and let them show you what they're capable of doing in person. Otherwise, call them on the phone and know you're going to be well taken care of. Love Lawrence the Florist!\r Pros: Ambience, parking, service, quality more

Best Florist and I am a Flower Snob! 9/10/2008

In various cities around the country I have ""THE"" florist that I use.\r I would never use anyone other than Lawrence the Florist!\r The arrangements literally inspire OH's! and AHHH's! and sometimes tears.\r The arrangements are beyond beautiful.\r The customer service is great and they also maintain a fabulous database so I don't have to remember my best friend's work address - they do it for me!\r \r Other florists don't have the quality, inspiration or the WOW factor. \r Lawrence the Florist is simply the best. Pros: Great Customer Service more

Unfriendly customer service 8/27/2008

Terrible customer service! Called to get a sympathy arrangement and the person on the phone was unfriendly and unhelpful. I stopped my order before completion. more

Best Florist on the Eastside 7/8/2008

I order flowers occasionally and Lawrence the Florist has never let me down. The prices seem to be fairly consistent with other florists, the flowers get delivered when they're supposed to and, most importantly, they're always fresh and beautiful (at least that's what the people who receive them tell me). They're always very pleasant to deal with and seem genuinely concerned about creating the ideal arrangement for the occasion, plus they like to get creative and use tropical flowers and other items not always found in your typical bouquet. If I'm ordering anywhere in their delivery area I won't use anyone else. Pros: Friendly, great service, creative arrangements more

Awful Customer Service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11/28/2006

First of all, be prepared to shell out top dollar for what appears to be beautiful plants up front. (Which I'm fine with by the way). But if you have a problem with your plant later, they offer nothing for your trouble, instead they told me I would have had to call within a week! Everyone knows a plant can take more than a week to display problems that were hidden......I even asked them if they would just simply consider giving me a discount on a future order next time. (I order from them often). I was put on hold while they checked, they got back to me and said no, again, I would have had to call within a week or so. I informed her that it seemed to be a bad business decision, because after providing me with a plant filled with spider mites, they had an opportunity to still retain a customer. Instead they lost one for good. more

2 Thumbs Down! 11/28/2002

WARNING! HE DOESN'T STAND BEHIND HIS WORK! June 15, I ordered flowers for my aunt's Bellevue funeral for delivery to the church. He recommended an ""awesome"" hydrangea at $68.54. At church, outside the sanctuary was a drooped, dried out hydrangea. People were standing at the plant commenting to my aunt's daughter on how sad it looked. I was mortified and ashamed that something meant to comfort my cousin instead did the opposite!! I called the florist. The florist denied it happened. I gave them the church funeral coordinator's name to corroborate; they then wanted me to return the plant. I couldn't. The plant was probably disposed of. They said they would get back to me. They did not call. I called again. They again said they would get back to me. I am still waiting! I would like either a refund or at least an adjusted bill. more
