John Roy & Bill Dawes made my night. 10/24/2009

First ever comedy club experience, and I have to say I came in skeptical. I'm not a heavy laugher by any stretch, and bad/inappropriate acts just make me uncomfortable. Pros: Quality entertainment. Can't ask for much more. Cons: 2 drink minimum. more

The Josh and Myo Show 4/12/2009

A definite must visit, especially for the Josh and Myo Show. I am so glad I got VIP passes off of JoshuaEscandondotcom because when I reached, the crowd was incredible. Everyone had come to become a part of the Josh and Myo Show and thankfully I reached early because it would have been impossible otherwise to get seats of any sort. The show began with brilliance and I just knew that they have something new up their sleeve yet again. Unlike other live comedy shows, they do not go about with the same routine all over the place. Josh and Myo have a large number of fans who come in regularly. This makes it imperative that their set is unique and they manage to pull it off every week. I cannot imagine the amount of work that goes into their act every Friday. They also bring on the most amazing guests who have this knack of bringing us to our knees and begging them to stop, so that we can breathe. I can tell you this that my face was completely red by the time I got out of the show. I loved every minute of it. Pros: The Josh and Myo Show Cons: Not for the easily offended more

Laugh Factory Long Beach A Real Gem 2/12/2009

I am a writer and aspiring performer. I was invited to go to the new Laugh Factory in Long Beach. It is the best kept secret in Long Beach that I have discovered and I want to share it with everybody. The place was spectacular and glamorous. The best facility I have ever seen for comedy and magic. I was overwhelmed by the size and the design. The high ceilings were breathtaking and the memorabilia out front were fascinating. The history of comedy around the building was informative and a really nice touch. And the restaurants near the club compliment it perfectly as there is something for everybody. The acts were all top talent. The only disappointing part of the evening was that we had to park at the shopping center parking lot, and even with validation from the Laugh Factory that cost us $15. Cons: price of parking more

Drew Carey WAS IN LONG BEACH!!! 2/4/2009

I was just at the Drew Carey show and it was amazing. I had dinner L?opera and then walked over to the Laugh Factory for the show. Drew did his standup act and then brought out the all stars and did an incredible improv performance. I heard the parking situation at the club was really bad, but it is even worse than I had imagined. I was prepared to wait but certainly not for 45 minutes! I want to back for some more laughs, but everybody needs to know that while the food, the service and the comedy is just spectacular, the parking situation is just painful. Don?t plan on going out after the show, just plan on waiting and waiting for your car. Bring a book or an ipod! Otherwise, Drew was amazing! Pros: Comics, stars, amazing club Cons: loooooooooooooooooooooong wait for car more
