La Jolla Inn – a great location for holidaying 9/1/2011

I always enjoy my all girls’ outings. But last time it was simply awesome. We went to La Jolla and stayed at La Jolla Inn. We had planned for a weekend getaway that happened to become the best vacation we had in years. The best spot to enjoy nature The La Jolla Inn is the best place to enjoy nature from close quarters. Situated at a walking distance from the Pacific Ocean, the Inn offers idyllic views of the ocean. We used to spend hours strolling on the beach. We even tried snorkeling and swimming. It was a new experience for me and I enjoyed it immensely. The inn is located very close to the market place. This enabled us to go for long shopping trips and how we enjoyed that. We dined at several of the restaurants and really liked the gourmet. In fact I tried several new cuisines and got fond of them. At evenings we used to drop dead on our beds and spend our time chatting. The beds were comfortable and the rooms quite spacious. They were well decorated with handpicked linen. The bathrooms were fantastic which made me take long baths much to the dismay of my friends. The rooms had small kitchens with refrigerator and stove. We used to make coffee at nights and stay awake to watch movies or simply talk. I had a lot of catching up to do and La Jolla Inn provided the perfect backdrop to bond with my buddies. The best thing I liked about my room was the view. I had chosen a room that overlooked the ocean and at nights I used to sit up and watch the waves break into foams on the beach. Each morning we were greeted by a lovely sun that enticed us to go for strolling. The morning breeze, sandy beach and company of my close friends- everything was too good to be true. We took breakfast on the sundeck which was another experience to recall. The complimentary continental breakfast along with the early morning sun was enough to satiate our souls. Some words about the service La Jolla Inn is not a five start hotel but the staff deserves a five star rating. They were warm and accommodating. They always ensured that we felt comfortable and went out of their way to look after our needs. They even gave us one free room upgrade. The front desk staffs took the pain to suggest places we can visit or the things we can do in La Jolla. They were helpful and knew everything about La Jolla that we found very useful. I had a blast in La Jolla Inn and would like to go for another vacation there. more

Fantastic Stay! 8/31/2011

I loved my visit at the La Jolla Inn! It was wonderful and the location was just perfect. The scenery with the ocean front really helped me to enjoy my vacation even more. I wanted to have a very relaxing vacation and I feel that staying at the La Jolla Inn and being able to enjoy the scenery helped me reach my goal. Everyone was very nice. When I arrived I was surprised that there was muffins plus other things waiting for my husband and I. It was one awesome experience that I'll never forgot and I cannot wait to go back there again. Thank you La Jolla Inn & staff for everything and for making sure that I had a wonderful vacation! more

San Diego's Finest 8/30/2011

This is a GREAT place to stay if you are planning on visiting San Diego. Friendly employees make this a memorable stay. San Diego is a beautiful, unique city and I am glad I chose to stay at the La Jolla Inn during my visit. The La Jolla Inn is in a very central location. It is close to all the major attractions in San Diego. The employees at the La Jolla have a great knowledge of the area and are there to answer any questions you may have. The rooms are very nice, and the view is AMAZING! The Pacific is right outside your window. The beautiful beach is within walking distance. Do not miss out on this great hotel is you are visiting San Diego. Stay at the La Jolla Inn and receive all the amazing service I did. more

Not worth it. 3/27/2007

*unfriendly front desk *my room leaked water and nothing was done about it during my entire stay *room was TINY *sundeck was covered in bird "stuff" and the viewing glass was covered just the same. *bathroom tiles were very outdated and looked dirty. *'continental breakfast" did not have bagels or assorted juice. Pros: close to beach Cons: no access to room from lobby (had to walk on main street to get to room) more
