Fantastic French Pastries 6/20/2010

I've been searching for a place like this for years since my favorite French pastry place closed. Magnificent collection of authentic French pastries that no one except an authentic French bakery can make. The only drawback of pastries this good is that you'll be spoiled forever. Chocolate mousse and meringue made the old fashioned way with the best fruit tarts and danish you'll ever have. The pistachio mousse is original and fantastic. It's worth a long car ride to stock up for the week and even the flaky pastries are good as new after a quick pop in the toaster oven. Pros: Incredible pastries and cakes Cons: Small and sometimes crowded more

Awesome Duck Pate Sandwich 3/17/2009

Great selection of sweets and pastries, but I was impressed most by the sandwiches. The duck pate alone is worth a trip to Chelsea Pros: Best sandwich in neighborhood Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Have Pastries, Will Travel 5/1/2007

My sister-in-law brought their almond croissants to us on the North Fork 2 days after our son was born. They didn't last through the morning. Best I've ever had! more

Masterpiece napoleon 11/9/2006

The best napoleon in NYC, an utter masterpiece! There is no way to improve on their napoleon. The heavenly cream filling is sensational matched against the crisp layers of fresh pastry. No soggy, day old pastry here!! And, to take it to another level there are fresh raspberries inside the filling, and a slightly sweet top. Not too sweet, just right, actually it's perfection. Yum!!!! Pros: Delicious pastries more

A little Taste of Heaven 11/22/2005

Numerous tiny desserts to choice from. Not a single miss to date. Highly underrated. Pros: Large Variety, Fresh Ingrediants Cons: Small store, limited seating more

Try Eclaire au chocolat! 10/30/2003

My friend told me about my place and I just liked so much french style cakes! Especially I found the eclaires were exellent. 3 dollars for 1 eclaire sounds quite expensive in Paris, but its tast just reminds me of my Paris! I haven't bought french baguette yet, as it looked a bit diffirently, but I will try one day some croissants... This place is not always overcrowded, which is good for me, and there are places you can eat and take a good, real expresso! more

great cap and pastry 1/26/2003

one of the best French pastry shops in NYC. my personal fave for cappacino. Almond croissants mmmmmmm good. I go here 3 times a week on average. Also try Success and Napoleon. Good sandwiches and quiche too. Pros: pastry, cappacino Cons: few tables, crowded at peak hours more
