First visit to the USA, and had to do some shooting? 8/24/2009

I began my Shooting hobby in the UK in 1979,My first pistol was a 22lr Walther GSP target pistol, I quickly gained an interest in competitive shooting and became a member of a team shooting in postal competiions. Pros: 5 star for people and venue. Cons: The only big con is I live in the UK? more

Great place to go on a dull weekend. 8/18/2009

Ive been a returning customer to this place now for a while now. This is where i learned how to operate and shoot a handgun, rifle, and shotgun, even got my handgun safety certificate which i would recommend everyone to get. I know someone that works here and so my experiences are always good. Though im not too happy about going there sometimes and seeing first time shooters operating a malfunctioning gun. There was an incident where a couple of girls next to us couldnt operate there handgun. One of the girls was starring at us pondering if she should asks us how to fix her malfunctioning handgun. She walks up to my friend with the gun pointed at his stomach, knowing that you should always assume a gun is always loaded, we had to stand back and tell her to back away from us, we didnt know if the gun was loaded or not, she assured it wasent, but who knows right. after telling her to speak with a range officer, she grabs her gun and walks outside the range with the gun to the front desk. YOUR NOT SUPPOSE TO DO THAT. very scary situation, i was a first time shooter at one point of my life but its just common sense people. In other words this place is fun and safe, but be very vigilant of the people arround you and make sure no one is screwing around/handling a gun in an unsafe matter, it could result in injury or death. Pros: Wide selection of guns Cons: Scary first timers more

Great place to shoot on a budget. 7/16/2009

Have to disagree with the non-gun buffs on the worries over prices. You will not find ammunition at a lower price anywhere in town, any other town, or even online. 50 rounds of .45 ACP @ around $15.00? 9mm @ $9.00? Good luck. Pros: (Mostly) friendly staff, great selection, unbeatable prices. Cons: Booths are shabby, Satan himself controls the thermostat. more

Nice place 5/29/2009

I?ve been in this place several times. If you have little or large experience in shooting and weapon, and understand California gun law, and like indoor shooting, this place great for you. First time shooter would fill themselves not so comfortable. I?ve been in Las Vegas, Nevada shooting place, that looks and fill much more proficient. Every shooter has its own trainer (though, should I say it is more expensive then in LA, CA). Other then that no complains so far. Great choice of weapon, ammo, targets, cool staff, mostly working target booths (the #1 has a little glitch with target mechanism ;)). Pros: range of choice Cons: Safety more

fun for all levels 2/6/2008

LA gun club is fun- everyone should go and learn how to use a gun for protection. They offer a wide variety from 9mm, 45's, 39 supers, rifles, etc... They have lots of targets to choose from too. The staff is layed back, its a no hassle kind of experience. Be sure to ask for help and they will be happy to show you how to use the gun. I would recommend bringing someone with a little experience if it's your first time. Pros: open late, good variety of guns and targets Cons: it really adds up, gun charge, ammo and lane fees so be careful.. more

WoW:)!!! 12/6/2007

This place was a Blast!! I found the place under their website which was well informative. It does says that you have to come in a party of two or more, I asked them why? when I got there. They told me because they are trying to prevent suicides which perfectly makes sense. The staff was really great, they were really helpful. They have a variety of pistols and rifles, they also have a Smith & Wesson 500 which was COOL!! Overall, prices were reasonable and it is a great place to relieve some stress. AWESOME!! :) more

beware! no singles 2/26/2007

This place has a policy of not renting guns to individual customers; couples only. There is nothing on their website about this. When I asked about it the staff was extremely rude and would not accommodate me in any way. They promisd free instruction but instead of an instructor to stand next to me they had an instructional video. They would not let me rent with someone I met on-site. They would not even give me a discount if I was willing to drive an hour back home and come back with a friend. They do not want your business. Do not come here. more

good range 11/14/2005

This is a great range for anyone who lives near Downtown LA. The surrounding area is industrial which scares some people, but it is indeed safe. I work downtown and I've never been bothered in industrial areas. Good staff, prices and location. I recommend. more

large shooting range 7/12/2005

Been here a few times to use thier shooting range and like to go their since it's a pretty large indoor shooting range and they also have a large parking area. The prices are good for the rental of both the gunns and ammo. They have lots of rooms available even though theres always alot of people there using the rooms for shooting. Been here with friends and like to do some shooting to relieve stress. It is very noisy and loud here since it's indoors even though you get the plugs and muffs for the ears. more

Looks deceiving... 6/10/2003

The surrounding area looks deceiving, but the gun club is safe, clean and professional. Good place to get your shoting fix. It is a bit pricey ($12 lane rental, $5-$10 gun rental, $10 for 50 rounds), but not a bad place to shoot a variety of guns. We shot Barrettas, Glocks and .38's. I'll go again. Pros: safe, clean, professional Cons: bad area, little pricey more
