Current, Intelligent, Open Minded, Competent and Caring 10/26/2009

If not for the help Dr. Kratzer, Mary and Debra gave us in the beginning with breastfeeding, I would have had to give up. There ended up being a unique problem that nursing consultants from the hospital could not identify that Mary and Debra found right away. My five and a half month old is thriving and has never had any formula. If I had gone with another pediatrician my baby would have been formula fed for sure. The value of this help is priceless and will have an impact on my baby's health in numerous ways for his entire life. \r I am very hard to please when it comes to Doctors. I scrutinize down to how the receptionist treats me. Everyone in the office (receptionist, assistants, practitioners and Dr.) are all patient, kind, helpful and competent.\r I have been very impressed so far with my experience.\r These people really care about young ones.\r Pros: Everything more

Knowledgable and Dedicated 7/27/2009

Unlike other doctors, Dr. Kratzer and his staff are willing to spend an hour with you if you need the time. You will never feel like they are trying to rush you out the door. They are knowledgable, respectful, and compassionate. \r \r But most important of all, they accurately see the health of the child and parent as being interconnected. As a result, they give the parent as much support as they do the child -- such as providing unlimited help with breast feeding, which is a huge plus, especially in view of the predicted severity of this year's flu season (moms who breastfeed pass along their antibodies to their babies)!\r \r My baby and I are now thriving thanks to the caring attention of Dr. Kratzer, Mary Graves, Debra, and all the rest of Dr. Kratzer's wonderful staff!\r \r more

compassionate and thorough. 4/22/2009

Two specific reasons I recommend Dr. Kratzer:\r 1: He answers questions thoroughly and takes parental concerns seriously.\r 2. He saved our newborn son’s life. The details are too lengthy for this forum however, we are eternally grateful.\r more

Excellent, caring providers and staff 7/15/2008

Dr Kratzer and Mary Graves provide excellent care for our two children. It is easy to get an appointment, the staff is courteous and extremely helpful. When we expressed concerns about a potential genetic disease that our kids might have inherited, we were quickly referred to Valley Children's Hospital for futher testing that thankfully ruled out the disease. Both Dr Kratzer and Mary Graves are very good at explaining what is going on with our children, what they are doing during exams, and teaching us how to provide care for our children at home when they are ill (irrigating noses during colds for relief, etc.). Both providers explain everything thoroughly. I know that sometimes our visits take longer than the time allotted to us, but that does mean there is sometimes a wait to be seen when I first arrive. \r I am thankful to have found such caring providers in our community- I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a pediatrician! Pros: Time spent with us, level of explanation during exams Cons: there aren't more providers out there like this! more

Dr cost us thousands instead of sending to specialist, office wouldn't stop harrasing us 5/7/2008

1) Every time we would come in for an appointment we would wait for at least an hour before going to a room. Often they would have no appointment set for us so we started keeping our appointment cards to show them. \r 2)After telling the doctor our worries about our daughters hearing he sent us to expensive tests. After the first test he told us she was probably deaf and needed to teach our other child sign language so he could talk to his sister. Several months later and after another test we found out she had an ear infection. Because we waited so long to get her anibiotics the infection was so bad that meds wouldn't help and she had to have tubes. During those months we thought she was deaf the heart ache we went through was horrible. I'd never seen my husband cry before that or sence. \r 3) After we paid the doctor our last bill. His office called us 3 times saying they didn't recieve our payment. After the second call I took in our original bank statement showing them the amount, that it went to their office, and on what date. They made a copy. The third time they called they made me call our bank on three way so they could hear from our bank that we actually paid because she thought it was a fake bankstatement. After our bank official confirmed that we really did pay and that we weren't lieing the office manager looked through her records again and called back to appologize but refused to admit she made a mistake and refused to tell us they wouldn't contact us again. We will be fileing a police report about the harrassment. After telling a few people about our story I've learned that we aren't the only ones that had problems with Dr Kratzer and his staff. Cons: neglectfull doctor, incompetent staff more
