We just got back from our 4 day trip there. We went to this restaurant on the first night of our trip. Everything was so wonderful. The food was so good, not too expensive, the ambience was perfect, and the waiter was very very nice. We went back for lunch the next day, and sat on the patio. I asked a cop on the Palm Canyon Drive for a restaurant recommendation and he suggested Kaiser Grille. I love lamb, so I decided to order the Lamb Shank for dinner and spnich/artichoke dip appetizer. The dip was average at best. There wasn't that much flavor at all. The lamb shank was somewhat dry, and the sweet potato au gratin was terrible. The sweet potato au gratin tasted like left overs. We were just in Palm Springs for one night, and from a Best Places book, we chose Kaiser Grille. It was later in the evening and not very busy, but it took 30 minutes to get water and some attention, and then another 30 minutes to speak with our waitress who was less than accomodating about helping us. After convincing her to give us a wine recommendation, our choice arrived hot and slightly off-tasting. Finally, an hour and a half after arriving, our meals came and my fish was overcooked, but I just wanted to get out. Last of all, the pen she gave me to sign the bill didn't work, and I had to go to the front desk for a new one, because she was long gone. This was a horrible experience, especially since it was our vacation, and I would advise others to stay away. Pros: not crowded, nice outdoor seating Cons: , slow service, rude service more
