This is the 3rd time we have eaten at John's Grill. It is small and intimate. The menu is not large, but has a good variety. There were four of us and the meals came out at different times with mine being the last to come. My companions were nearly finished with their meals. I believe there was only one wait person and he tried to make up for the slow service by offering me a soup, which I declined. The other three people in our party had the crab and clam chowder and thought it wonderful. The salads were fresh and nicely presented. My husband had the prawns which he liked. I chose the lamb chops which came late, but were prepared well. He did make up for it my giving me a free dessert which was excellent and beautifully presented. I think it was just an off evening for this restaurant because we asked for coffee after dinner and it was almost forgotten. I hope that they improve on the timing of the meals and attend to details. Our meals have always been good, but the wait staff needs some improvement.
Pros: Good food, and nicely presented
Cons: wait staff need more training or the kitchen needs to improve the timing of the meals
