Veggie, Turkey AND Beef... 12/23/2002

The burgers here are simply fabulous! They offer juicy beef burgers, their turkey burgers are actually very moist and flavorful and they also have a killer Vegiterian burger. One of the best atmospheres in the business. It's quick, it's cheap and it's damned good! The only down side is that the parking sucks at the Thayer St location and I won't go to the Prov Place Mall. Pros: Great Food, Friendly Staff, Inexpensive more

Excellent Ambiance! 9/22/2002

This place really rocks! I loved the atmosphere, reminded me of the 1950's. I popped in the free nickle they gave me for the jukebox and pushed on the song ""respect"" by Aretha Franklin and the entire staff went bezerk singing and dancing!. It was a great experience that I strongly reccomend to anyone. Play the song ""respect"" and see what happens. The food was ok, could have been a little less greasy on the burgers but other than that, we had a great time. Pros: Ambiance, Friendly, Quick service Cons: long walk from garage, Greasy burgers more

Overpriced and low quality 8/29/2002

Johnny Rockets is up there with McDonalds and Burger King. The service can be slow, and the food is not worth the price. Cons: Expensive, Bland Food more

that IS a tasty burger! 8/12/2002

This is the ultimate burger right here, folks. They pile up the fixins on this tasty burger. It's fried up right for you on the grill and this is a burger that you HAVE to use two hands to hold. I recommend this burger to the fullest degree. Of course, don't go to the one in Providence Place Mall. You have to go to Thayer st. to get the full atmosphere (and taste) of Johnny Rockets. Sometime the waiters even sing!!! Pros: atmosphere (50s!), excellent food Cons: hard to get a table, bad parking, small tables only more

Yum! 8/8/2002

Editorial
  • In Short
Vintage Coca-Cola ads and posters of Life magazine covers succinctly summon up the 1950s, as do this diner's mini-jukeboxes, red vinyl counter stools and sock-hopping staff....
