I have been going to Jill for all my hair do's for the past 20+ years. I'm really sorry NurseB had such a bad experience, but I suspect there had to be a misunderstanding. I know all the hair dressers at Jillians get booked up several weeks in advance, (I have had to wait up to 3 months at times for an appointment- even after being a customer for so long-but always find it well worth the wait) I find it hard to believe that NurseB scheduled an appointment that same day and I know they can rarely do walk in's unless there is a new beautician on board. It has always been my experience to receive first class service in a clean and invitingly creative salon! Unless you are the one working, you might not realize someone is busy even tho it doesn't look like it. Color and perms can take time under the dryer ect, giving the beautician time to do other things, like mixing and straightening and cleaning up. In fact after moving from the coast over a year and a half back, I still drive 150 miles round trip to have my hair done. No way do I want to change hairdressers. I love my salon, and all the workers who do such a fine job styling the many different people who go there and have the same attitude I do! When you are in Lincoln City, Jillians is one of the best salons there! Just be sure you plan ahead when you give them a call! more

NEVER GO TO JILLIANS! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON BAD SERVICE! I work in the healthcare field for a well known non-profit organization. One of my residents who is in a wheelchair wanted to get her hair done. Once we arrived at Jillians, the quickly DISMISSED us as though we never made an appointment even though I called that same day. I also mentioned that the resident was in a wheelchair. They immediately said we called the wrong salon and NONE of the hairstylists wanted to do the haircut. They acted as though the salon was busy but there were barely any customers in the store. The most shocking part is that Jillian, the salon owner, was involved in this appalling situation. I cannot believe the service that we received at this salon. I hope they realize that this act of discrimination is AGAINST THE LAW. I never felt so disrespected in my life especially to have the resident experience this right in front of their eyes. more
