Cake Batter in a Waffle Cone with Rainbow Sprinkles 6/2/2006

I think J.P. Licks is highly quality. They've got a great selection of classic and wacky flavors, plenty of toppings and generous serving sizes. The employees are friendly and helpful and the store is open until midnight so there's practically no excuse not to make it down there. Furthermore, they make splendid ice cream cakes. The prices are certainly higher than you'd pay at the grocery store, but the portions are big enough that it doesn't seem so bad. more

perfect for that late night ice cream attack 5/18/2006

J.P. Lick's Davis Square location is great for their late hours and consistently friendly staff, in addition to the awesome ice cream flavors they serve. All the standards, plus a few with more flare, are available here. There is a good selection of sorbets and frozen yogurts, and the frappes are good too. The coffee oreo ice cream here remains my favorite ice cream of all time. And the store earns a few bonus points for having a cone stand so that you don't have to maneuver the treat you just ordered while you're trying to pay for it. more

good ice cream 9/12/2005

While they don't have alot of different flavors, what they do have is pretty good. The people who work there are very friendly and are ready to answer any questions you have about their ice cream and hand out as many samples as you want. They have homemade milk chocolate and dark chocolate waffle cones that I highly recommend. The prices are pretty average for the area. Their cakes are also good. There isn't alot of indoor seating, but there is plenty of outdoor seating. more
