I recently had my hair done by Katelyn at J Gregory Salon and it was a wonderful experience. She listened to what I had in mind and then added her own flair. My cut and color turned out better then I ever dreamed. I had been very spoiled by my old stylist down in Birmingham AL, and have actually been looking for someone for the last three years. After just one experience with Katelyn I look foward to being spoiled again. I have found my stylist! It was like coming home, she even gave me a big hug as I was leaving. I had driven by this salon for awhile now, beautiful building a little uniquely placed, a window with J. Gregory so large no one could miss it, and in just the neatest nook of the city. It had definate allure. I got a new job in June, so I got a new paycheck and I decided J. Gregory was going to be my splurge. The granduer of the outside of the building was equal to what was inside. A eclectic decor with the most professional, talented, yet warm staff I have encountered a salon. Making my appt was seamless, they even confirmed, which I appreciated. And they led me in the direction of the proper stylist for my needs-which are long and naturally curly. When Teresa greeted me she too was a similar hair type which put me at ease. I was scheduled for a color and cut, and ended up getting my brows done as well. Teresa was outstanding, she consulted me on color options and my cut was perfect. Lisi gave me the best haircut and coloring I've ever had. She was passionate about her work and even described a haircut as "her art on my head." It took over 2 hours because she was so committed to doing a great job. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you for enabling me to love my hair again! I thank the Lord for Andrea Brown!!! She just did an amazing job on my unruly hair for the 3rd time. I just moved to COS from TN, and though I loved my stylist there, she does not compare to Andrea at J Gregory Salon.. Andrea takes the time to find out what you really want and then works on all the details. She loves what she does and it shows. I'm not high maintenance so she took the time to talk through whether I really wanted to put color on or whether I wanted a haircut that would naturally bring out the highlights that I was born with. The first time I went to J gregory I was refered to Jason through a friend. At the time I had been going to my previous stylist for years. After she moved out of town it was time to find another person who was just as amazing and consistant as my last stylist. When explaining this to Jason he understood and took his time discussing my likes and dislikes. Once we had gotten to the end of the conversation I showed him a picture of what I wanted. It was a big change. What Jason said next made me so calm and relaxed I knew it was the beginning of a new relationship. He looked at the picture and thought that it would be a great look for me. He then continued to explain that he would rather do something definately different but not as drastic the first time I saw him. He told me he would rather gain my trust so i would be more confident in him going drastic and changing my look in future appointments. I was impressed. In the past I have gone to previous salons and have wanted a big change my first time. The styist usually went along with it and the outcome was not at all what i wanted. Jason gained my trust in his work. I will not be intimidated to change my hair with him in control. He is very detailed and knows his stuff!!! Pros: Honest advice more

I love J. Gregory Salon. The people are great, the atmosphere is warm and very stylish but the true treasure in J. Gregory Salon is Katelyn. It is a treat every time I go in to get my hair cut. I have been going to see Katelyn for years now and will never let anyone else touch my hair. Katelyn is stylish and so cute and friendly. Half of the reason I like going is to talk with her. Katelyn is very gifted in knowing what cut will suit you and she takes her time cutting it and showing you how to then style it. I feel so refreshed and good when I leave! I started going to Jason after reading his reviews on city search. I was blown away when he took his time to figure out my likes and dislikes about getting my hair done. Jason really paid attention when I was explaining to him what I was looking for. For someone like me a consistant stylist is very important. I have been going to Jason for a while now and he delivers every time. Jason has a great eye for detail and continues to ask me every time what I am looking for. Known by some of her friends as "Hillary Scissor Hands"- Hillary Hand of J Gregory salon has been creating masterpieces for years now. With an innate tatse for what will complement each person, you are sure to leave the salon with something you love. One thing I love, Hillary consults with her clients, on length, color, and style before the scissors even come out. Her wonderful demeanor and superior people skills are surpassed only by her incredibly natural skill at styling. With several of her hair cuts on my resume, I have to say that she accomodates whether you are ready for something completely dramatic and edgy, or whether youre merely seeking a trim. The atmosphere and friendly staff at J Gregory make it a wonderful place to spend your time. The services are unique to each client, and Hillary welcomes her clients specificaly with a friendly smile and extensive knowledge of the business. She goes above and beyond, making friends of her cliens, all the while giving them exactly what they ask for regarding their hair. Her suggestions are specific, informed, and often times something that you would never have known tot hink of yourself. I was recommended to Hillary at J Gregory and she was fantastic! I just switched salons and could not have been happier about the cut and color she gave me. The cut was totally different from what I had and she listened to me completely, gave great suggestions, and did not let me down! Her color was great and came out looking completely natural. One Name...Lisi!!! After my stylist moved away I had the hardest time finding anyone to get my hair to do what my previous stylist did... pretty much I had given up all hope. I went to J. Gregory and saw Lisi!!! She listened so well and was the first person to ever give my fine/limp hair incredible volume. She's a phenomenal colorist and her cutting techniques are very customized. For being this young, she's extremely talented and I will not be going to anyone else!!! The salon is a great atmosphere and everyone is very friendly. If you've felt like you can't find anyone to just "get it right" go see Lisi and I'm sure she will take as great of care of you as she has with me!!! Pros: Lisi!!! If you want a great style and color, you have got to go see Katelyn; she is one of the best upcoming Stylist and Color Speicalist I know. I am very picky when it comes to my hair and I started going to Katelyn when she was still a student, I love going to her because she is young and stylish herself, and keeps up with what's in. She can give you any style you show her and has an eye for color, she special mixed color for me that I love...I was so undecided, so she recommended a couple different shades and we are still using those on my hair today. I like it that she keeps them handy and doesn't forget what the mix is! Another great thing about Katelyn, she is genuine; if you show her something you think you want, but she doesn't think it will work for you, then she might recommend something else that you will probably like better...she has an eye for that. There is not a day that I do not get a compliment on my hair style or color, I have recommended quite a few people to Katelyn and all of them were satisfied. Believe me you will not be disapointed either if you go see her for your next Style, Color or Updo (she enjoys doing those).Her scalp massage during a wash is incredible! I am so glad I found her! Today everyone everywhere wants more luxury... I only trust and highly recommend Patrick. He always makes my color oh so radiant, and he cuts my hair with such detail i've never seen before. From prom to homecoming, he always gave me the high fashion runway look that i was going for. Jen is wonderful! I have curly hair, which people have often ruined and "q-tipped" with their scissors. She gives me the coolest cuts, she even pulled off a curly A-line which others have told me can't be done. My hair always looks amazing when she cuts it- I get compliments all of the time, and she can switch it up and do new things too. She is friendly and everything a person would want in a stylist. Patrick! Patrick! Patrick! You saved my hair. I'm a recent transplant from So Cal and the worst part of leaving was not having my Michael. Not a lover nor relative but ...you guessed it, my stylist. After suffering through two color disasters since I arrived in January 08 I finally found Patrick. I'd come on a Friday less that 24 hours since my last hair disaster and looking like a Lynx and Patrick assured me he could "salvage" the rainbow that was my hair. Lotions, potions, kneading, rolling and what can only be termed as the best head massage ever on the planet, he had, indeed saved my hair.
