J Gregory Salon

New to the area and was looking for a salon, saw the reviews and thought I'd give it a try! I was going to go to katelyn or Constatine (based on reviews... even though I believe they were asked to by the stylist, but either way, they sounded happy) but went to someone else based on a co-worker reference. I went a few times, but was never really sold on her, the last time I did I wanted a few inches off and showed a pic that had the length just past the shoulders...... well, she cut about 6 inches off and I looked like a 12 yr old!! Blunt bob barely touching my shoulders... :( I got my hair fixed at Jula Salon and Spa and am much happier.. although I was not ready to go this short, I had to make the kiddie cut I got from the J Gregory stlyist tolerable. I would try the sylists mentioned in these reviews, I didn't just because I don't want to go back... I'm traumatized (lol)..... Good Luck!! more

After 13 years with my stylist in Cherry Creek, I decided that I needed a new look. I wanted shaggy and current. Jason Crampton exceeded my expectations and I could not feel sexier. I would recommend him to all of my friends/family! more

I had been loyally going to the same sytlist in Cherry Creek for 13 years, until this past week when I decided that I needed a change. Jason @ J. Gregory was able to give me a totally new look from my old cut that I can make look different everyday depending on my own creative styling ability (which is pretty limited!). His vision and ability is impressive, and I am recommending him to everyone that I know. more

If you want a spectacular cut, go see Constantin! He is so amazing. He knew exactly what I wanted and gave me highlights that looked perfect for my skin tone. Don't try anyone else or any other place. If you want that professional cut and color from an experienced hairstylist, you will not be disappointed. I walked in looking like a train wreck and walked out looking like a model! CONSTANTIN IS TRULY THE BEST!! more

I Love Katelyn. I always enjoy my experiance when I visit the Salon, Katelyn does a great job and even when Im not sure what I want she has something new and exciting for me to try. Katelyn has been doing my hair for the past 5 years...I started seeing her when she was referred while still in cosmetology school. When she started styling at J. Gregory, things just got better! Every single time i come in for a cut or color, she exceeds my expectations! :) I have very thick hair with stubborn greys, and she always seems to find something that works perfectly! It also helps that she is a ton of fun to sit and chat with while she is working her magic! I have not had my hair done by anyone else since going to her, and never will! :) more

I had been searching for the perfect hair salon in Colorado Springs for the past 9 months. I had gone to Aveda, since that was the salon I had used in MN, but what a disapointment. I had my hair colored and within two weeks my color was already fading and you could see my roots. I had debated on weither or not I was going to use them again. I made an appointment with them, but I had also wanted to try J Gregory Salon, so I made an appointment with them also on the same day. After going threw my schedual for the day I had decided that Aveda salon was out and I was going to give J Gregory Salon a try... The moment I walked into the salon I was not only greeted with a smile, but they booked me an appoinment that same day @530 on a friday. My appoinment was with Ashley-Her energy was look was amazing. She not only made me feel welcomed, but she sat down and listened to what I had to say about how I wanted my hair colored. I showed her a picture of Jessica Beils current hair color. She colored it perfectly. I have natualy red hair, so I am always worried if the stylist is going to be able to color it correctly. Ashley, was amazing. I would recommend her to anyone. She was fun and easy to talk to, very professinal and she knew what she was doing. I can't wait to come back to the states and hit up J Gregory Salon. I was a little worried by some of the reviews - but this is not the experience I had at all. I must say that this salon is the best in Colorado Springs. I believe that my hairstylist Constantine is absolutely one of the most talented person. He is friendly, honest and so professional. I've been struggling so much with my hair until I met him. He makes me look beautiful and my struggling time is gone! This salon is one of my heavenly places. more

I was on a business trip with my husband and went looking for a salon with a knowledge stylist that could give me a consult on color. I felt like my stylist back home was not doing a good job and I needed a change. I found J Gregory through city search and went in. The receptionist said I could get an appointment with the owner Greg the next day. I came back the next day and the staff was very welcoming and courteous. I met with Greg and he and I talked for awhile about color options and what is possible for my hair. He was extremely knowledgeable and discussed options with highlights, etc that I had not even heard about before. I loved the color and the process he used. When my hair was dry we both decided I could use more color and he fit me in the next morning to come back and add more highlights and blow out free of charge. He then wrote every thing down for me that he did so I could take it back to a stylist in my home town. The only thing that bums me out is that I don't have Greg to do my hair every time, but any time that I can jump in on my husband's business trip to the Springs, I will be sure to set up an appointment with Greg! I had an appointment at this salon. TEN MINUTES before it is supposed to start as I am about to turn onto Tejon I get a call on my cell saying my stylist cannot do my hair because her previous client was late and her color wasn't lifting. The bitchy receptionist says "I can still come but my hair will be done by 2 or 3 stylists" pretty much meaning I won't even get the experience I came for. A little tip for the stylists at this salon: be committed to your clients. If you have to stay late, then you have to stay late. You aren't divas, get over yourselves. And, guess what? I went to Veda after I had to turn around, so you just lost a customer. Well done. more

I have very thick, curly hair and have ALWAYS had a hard time finding people that cut it well. Constantin did a wonderful job. I've never had a shorter hair cut that looks nearly as good as when he does it. I would highly recommend him to anyone. more

I went to this salon after 4 failed attempts to get a good haircut in the area. Constantin was awesome. He's new, from LA and he did a wonderful job. He did the wet hair cut and then followed up with the dry hair touch ups (I always know it's a good cut when they're thorough like that). I was thinking I"d have to fly back to FL just to get my hair fixed after it'd been chopped up by the last few stylists but Constantin proved to be a great local talent. I just hope after i post this he doesn't get too busy for me! I already referred a friend there who has her first appt! Pros: great talent Cons: didn't see any more

Just moved to Monument from out of state and utilized City Search to find a new stylist. Having had a superior stylist in another city i dreaded the change. I found J Gregory and looked through all the reviews then the profiles on the salon's site, Katelyn sounded like the right fit for my needs. Book an appointment, missed it because of crazy snow and Katelyn worked me in! Upon arrival I was greeted professionally and was pleased with the aesthetics of the salon. Very comfortable place. Katelyn did a consult then did a cut & highlight that came out just perfect. Completely exceeded my expectation! See you in 7 weeks! Pros: Great Service more

I have been going to J. Gregory Salon for almost two years now, as it was referred to me from a co-worker at Fort Carson. My stylist has been Jason Crampton for the past year. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and always knows how to best style my hair. I have very fine hair that gets frizzy, especially with the weather in Colorado. Everyone always comments on my hair after I return to work from getting it cut or colored. They always think it looks cute and like the way it was styled. I just wish I could replicate the look but I usually fall short! Jason is a wonderful stylist that I enjoy talking with, and the place as a whole has a comfortable vib to it. I would recommend J. Gregory to anyone, especially Soldiers at Fort Carson, due to the proximity to the base. I would also request Jason, as he will meet your hairstyling needs! I am super-picky when it comes to my hair. So when I moved here from MN, I was very nervous to see a new stylist. I booked a cut and hi-lite with Katelyn, the soonest I could get in with her was 5 weeks out! After my appointment, I totally see why she's booked out that far...this girl really knows her stuff!! I walked in with a drab hairdo and left JGregory with a super-sassy new look. I get so many compliments and I honestly couldn't be happier!! Katelyn = Awesome! What a great experience and I am so happy with my COLOR and cut! I have somewhat difficult hair ...thick, long, curly, dry and old highlights I'm trying to get rid of. Katelyn knew exactly what to do with my hair color and the cut. She did a demi-permanent hair color that turned out very natural and healthy looking (I'm trying to get back to my natural hair color after years of highlights). The cut is wonderful and she did an awesome job styling my hair. I walked out with one of those "salon perfect" looks that you hear about. Honestly, this is the best hair cut/color I believe I've ever had. And, to top it off, it is the least I've ever paid out the door of a salon. I left at $88 (+ the tip). I was shocked. It will be so much more possible for me to get my hair cut/colored more regularly with their prices. I'm SO HAPPY!! Pros: Great cut, great color, nice environment, great stylist! Cons: None more

Both my husband and I go to Constantin. He is a rare mixture of a perfectionist and a true artist, minus all the flaky stuff. He's very professional and very current on the latest styles. He's also a lot of fun and you never feel like you're being hustled through the salon so he can get to the next client - he really takes time with each person and knows what will work for them. I recently got a cut and color...and I've never gotten a better color job. He worked in L.A. for many years, so it's pretty clear that he has amazing skills. The bottom line? You won't find a better cut or color...trust me, I've tried. He's worth it at 3 times the price. Pros: Incredible price and THE BEST haircut Cons: None more

I was looking for a new salon/stylist when I found Amanda Dobie at JGregory. First the Salon is full of culture and warmth. I have never been so comfortable in a new place. Then there is Amanda who took my dull, drab, grey resistant hair and made it look like hers - beautiful! One additional thing that really made my experience exceptional was the head massage while I was being shampooed.............. I have had several head massages in my day but this new stylist gives the best there are. If you are looking for a great overall experience give this young lady a try. I moved to a new state and was looking for a great hair dresser at a reasonable cost. I found Kaitlyn at J Gregory and she has cut my hair twice now and I'll be going back for a third soon! She was willing to work with me and let me know I was the one in charge of my hair. She's such a sweet and friendly girl who loves what she does for a living! Go check out J Gregory Salon!
