When I moved to Colorado Springs I found a great stylist. She did a wonderful job every time but then she moved to Boston. I spent the next year getting bad haircuts and perms all around town. It was so frustrating! Parts of my hair actually fell out in clumps when I had a perm at Aveda Salon. After spending $50 for a haircut, that stylist couldn't even get my sides even! I was so disgusted. I have always been really proud of my hair but after all of these bad experiences, I was loosing confidence and felt so plain. I did a search on the internet and found all of Katelyn's great reviews and decided to give her a try. I was not disappointed! She made me feel pretty from the get-go and told me that I had great hair. I was thinking she was a little crazy telling me that, but she was right! It just took her talent to uncover it! Katelyn knows how to cut your hair! She treats it as an art and she really enjoys her job. She even pays attention to things like your head shape, which is important. Seriously, most stylists that I've been too hardly take the time to even consider things like that. One of the best things about Katelyn is that she is so excited to make you look good! I've never been especially particular about my hair -- make it shorter, make it even, I usually say. As long as I don't have to go through the chore of getting another haircut, I'm usually fine. Last week, however, I treated myself to a salon haircut to celebrate my birthday, and you can tell where the money goes. I was helped by Constantine, a friendly and attentive stylist to whom hair-dressing is less a learned skill and more an intuitive second-nature. He told me he had cut hair for seven years in Los Angeles, and the celebrity setting shows: by the time he was done trimming, I could hardly paqss a city block without catching a happy glimpse of myself in a mirror. J Gregory Salon is one of the best salons in the Colorado Springs area. After many frustrating visits to other salons, I was given the name of J Gregory by a friend who swore by their services. I have been a client for over a year now, and I continue to be pleased each and every time I return for my cut, color, style, and wax. The staff at J Gregory is outstanding. Katelyn (my stylist) is professional and listens to my needs as a client. She does a wonderful job with my hair, so much so, that I get asked where my hair is done by strangers frequently. Aside from Katelyn, I find complete comfort in the rest of the salon staff. I am always greeted with a smile, and treated to wine, beer, or a beverage of my choice. When making appointments or checking in or out, the front desk staff is there to help in a quick, precise, and friendly manner. I would recommend J Gregory Salon wholeheartedly! I don't usually take the time to write reviews like this, but to be honest, if this approach allows me to get the word out to the very transient population of Colorado Springs, I'll do whatever it takes! For those of you looking for a new stylist...you HAVE to try JGregory. There are plenty of amazing stylists to choose from, but my particular vote goes to Jason. What a ROCKSTAR! He makes me die laughing, gives me the most professional style consultation prior to my color, cut, blowdry and style EVERY time I see him, and I've never left the salon feeling less than a million dollars! In addition, the atmosphere in the salon is fun, relaxing but highly sophisticated. The receptionist is classy, organized, and probably the most intelligent salon administrator I have met in a long time! Approachable, funny and welcoming, she offers the brightest smile to all customers and cliets. As I have got to know her, she now answers my call and recognizes my foreign accent immediately - making me feel truly valued. The actual building is gorgeous. I love the red brick, and the interior is very trendy. Hygiene is very important to me...and the cleanliness of the salon is second to none. All in all, JGregory rocks my world. I moved from Colorado Springs to Denver a few months ago, and while I have looked for a somewhere in the city that's nearer, but just as good as JGreg, I have yet to find it. Therefore, I continue to make the 75 mile drive...just to get my hair cut! Now, if that's not a recommendation...I don't know what is! Great job to EVERYONE who makes this salon #1!!! New to area I had been having trouble finding a good stylist and colorist. J. Gregory Salon came HIGHLY recommended so I thought I would give it a try. The front desk was very curtious and professional. My hair is curly! Straighter underneath.If it is not cut right, I have a tail, so...Cut is critical! Sarah gave me one of the most marvelous styles I've ever had. She was Amazing!!! The staff was courteous and friendly without being overbearing. Just moved to the Springs and tried Aveda first (terribly disappointed). Friend recommended JGreg, and I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else! J Gregory Salon reminds me of the high scale salon I used to go to back east. The front desk staff is always very professional and very confidential. They seem to build a relationship with you - seem to always remember what we were discussing on my last visit. The stylists are always looking top notch and are always so friendly and remember me when I come in every time. Jason has a challenge working on a head of hair like mine. I have enough hair on my head to cover three people's head of hair. I guess that is a good thing with me being a man. Hey... and you have to love the fact that the gals up front always offer me a Laughing Lab beer for free while I get my hair done!!! Pros: Completely professional staff. Always feel welcome. I went to J Gregory salon over the weekend & I have to say that I was not very happy with my experience. First of all, when I entered the salon the lady behind the reception desk was very rude & unprofessional. She was huddled up in a corner w/ another lady, whispering, & making very rude comments. It reminded me of a 10 year old school girl, not a 40-something woman. As for my stylist. She was very sweet but while talking with her she appeared to have absolutely no idea what I wanted (even though I spoke w/ her in detail as to what I like & did not like & even brought in several pictures.) She seemed to be very uneasy & unsure of what she was needing to do. To make a long story, shorter, I walked out of the salon looking blotchy & the color placement was terrible. On top of all of this, the price was over the top! I had color & a cut done..... Which ended up costing me an arm & a leg..... I killed me to pay such an outrageous amount when I was walking out of there feeling very disappointed w/ the outcome. I do not plan on returning, ever, & am planning on visiting another salon to have this mess fixed up, as I do not trust J Gregory to do the job right. After moving to CO Springs from a city and stylist I absolutely loved, I struggled to find another great stylist once in town. A friend finally referred me to J Gregory, and after reading several reviews, I decided on booking with Katelyn. When I called to schedule the appointment, I was told her books fill quickly and I'd have to wait a month. That's always the sign of a great stylist! I took pictures in and described what I wanted. Katelyn took the time to listen and explained what my hair needed, both for the cut and color. She was thorough and professional. I loved the results and cannot wait to go back! I had been going to J Gregory for years with Jen as my stylist. Jen does a super job on bob type cuts, but I has wanted something a little different. Katelyn was recommended. I have baby fine thin hair that is hard to work with. First, Katelyn just didn't show up for my first appointment. When I did get in to see her, she didn't take the time to look through ANY of the pictures I brought...just started cutting. It is absolutely the worst cut I have ever had in my life. I called the shop several times to speak with Katelyn as I was willing to go quite a bit shorter to get a better cut. Katelyn never returned any of my calls. I moved here from MN in 2006 and i struggled to find someone here that i could trust to do my hair and not leave me thinking that was a mistake. i went to Katelyn and she was great! i am naturally blond and went dark 7 months before i came to her. i really wanted to go back to blond but i didn't want to totally damage my hair either. katelyn listened to what i wanted and listened to my goals. she did as much as she could and i left there with the process started and with much healthier hair! i am going back soon and i can't wait! i have also sent a few other people there and they have been very happy! more

I recently moved to the Colorado Springs area and for several months, was lost on where and who to cut and color my hair. I found J. Gregory Salon through my neighbor and decided to try it. I met Constantine, who worked in L.A. for the past 7 years. NEVER have I been able to find a stylist that could cut AND color. Usually I find they can do either/or. Not only did I find the place to be wonderful & friendly, but I've never had a stylist that was so knowledgable in all areas of hair styling. My last cut was bad, and he "corrected" it and gave me the perfect style for my face. I simply love it and it's easy to manage as well. I then scheduled my long overdue highlights and color. I have has so many compliments on the cut and color and this is the FIRST time I didn't have to go to 2 separate stylists. And the price was extremely reasonable as well. Constantine is a diamond in the ruff and I'm so happy I found him here in Colorado Springs. If you are looking for a beautiful style that matches YOU, I highly recommend him. I moved to the area this summer and put off finding a new stylist forever!! I finally saw Katelyn at J Gregory and am so happy!!! Having moved from a large city on the west coast where I paid a fortune for my cut and highlite I was very picky about my hair! Katelyn took her time, listened to what I wanted and I got an amazing cut! So happy to have found her!! I actually found out about J Gregory Salon when I was new to Colorado Springs and picked a stylist based on who was available and some reviews on here. I was not disappointed with my luck - Jason is great. I'm not a demanding client but I am an undecided one. I never really know what I want, I just want to look good. :-) Jason never disappoints. He listens, he gets to know you and your style, which comes in handy when you're not even sure yourself. I always leave feeling like a new woman. Katelyn is very professional and really listened to what I wanted in a haircut. I brought in pictures of how I wanted my hair cut and she listened, explained thoroughly how she was going to cut my hair, and explained why she was cutting it the way she was. I felt that Katelyn loves cutting hair and that it isn't just a "job" for her. I've had my hair done by stylists from New York to Paris...and Greg at J.Gregory Salon is among the best. Why? He has an innate talent for knowing what looks good. My cuts have an edge, but are professional and flexible for different occassions. We go through all transitions step-by-step...no radical surprises. He is a master at color. Constantine is the best! When I went to see him I had very long hair that had left over summer highlights. I was ready for a change and had a pretty good idea what i wanted. I explained the type of cut I would like and asked for his advice on the color. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and was able to give me the PERFECT cut and color. I trusted him and I absolutely love my new style. It went from long and boring, to shoulder length with alot of fun layers that I can wear alot of different ways. Now I have hair that I get alot of compliments on. He put a warm chocoloate coloring to it and it looks healthy and beautiful. Today will be my 3rd appointment with him and I've never been disappointed. If you're ready for an awesome Stylist then you have to go see him! You will not be disappointed.
