Got an auto insurance quote from them yesterday afternoon (Friday). They were still open :)
My 2003 Toyota Camry has a lot of problems - failed brakes, exhaust and transmission issues, over 150k miles, and it just makes a lot of noise. I think there a few screws loose with the car (literally and figuratively). Basically, the car is a mess.
The agent who contacted helped me after filling out the form was nice.. And explained all the insurance I needed in my locale (I live in Queens - Flushing). New York City car insurance was expensive due to various regulations,, too many uninsured drivers, etc, but the agent still gave me a cheapest bare minimum quote I could legally get ($24/month) and also told me about more full coverage options that range from ($70-$115 per month)... I ended up choosing a policy for around $50/month.
I am still surprised that Insurance Panda was able to insure my car for so cheap despite being old and unreliable. I'm really pleased with it the customer service too.
I will definitely recommend their car insurance to other people. (The guy who helped me with my quote was named James, so ask for him if possible!)
