Innovations Salon & Day Spa

I recieved a gift card from my husband and kids for mothers day, scheduled an appointment and I have been going there ever since. I have always had great experiences there with everything I have done- manicure, spa pedicure, cut, highlights, and brows, I even took my youngest daughter up there to have a haircut and eyebrows done, she was so nervous but Lori was wonderful with her, now she loves it and can't wait till her next appointment. Lori Piedimonte is the best hair designer at Innovations. She listens to your requests and gives an honest opinion. She does great color and never tries to ""experiment"" with your look if you don't want her to. I HIGHLY recommend Lori. Pros: Parking, Service, Products offered, scheduling, experience, evening appointments Cons: Sometimes it's a little loud when you're trying to enjoy a quiet massage or facial. It's still awesome though. more

I've been around the block a few times when it comes to hair salons and Innovations has proven to be so much more than just a place to get my hair fixed -- it is truly a salon and spa worth trying. It is a little more expensive than where I went before, but well worth having it done right and feeling relaxed and beautiful when I leave plus knowing it will be easy for me to manage. From the very first, I have been treated with great respect and have felt well taken care of. Donna is my stylist and is amazing with color, cut and style. My nail technician, Mandy, definitely knows what she is doing. I feel like I've been to real professionals after leaving there. I feel as though I have a friend in each of them and look forward to each visit. I find the atmosphere at Innovations cheery and alive. The stylists are a lot younger than I am, and I have found it very refreshing to hear their take on life. They get along well and have fun but this does not get in the way of them treating more

I have been going to Innovations for 5 years, have always had a wonderful experience. My stylist (Jody) is always fresh with ideas about my color, cut and different ways to style it for special professional and social events I attend! There is always an upbeat and energetic smile on everyone's face from the moment I walk into the door to the time I leave. I feel like 'she' truly cares about and listens to me when I have questions concerning my appearance and style being a busy working mother of 3; she is always resorceful and knowledgeable about the proper care and condition of my hair . I also take advantage of the spa card they offer and enjoy redeaming my points I earn for facials and massages which by the way is hands down the best facials I have ever had. I have had facials at a number of resorts and spas across the country ( I am in sales and travel all over the US)! Pros: Clean, fun and professional, knowledgeable! more

From the time I first called and talked to the manager who\r booked my appointment to when I walked out the door after \r my service this place is first class. I was greeted as soon\r as I walked through the door and asked if I would like anything to drink. The atmosphere is great, the salon is \r clean and the staff is awesome. The owner Donna was \r my stylist and I can honestly say I've never had a better\r cut and color than I got from her. She took her time with me\r finding out what I wanted then wowed me with the results.\r I have been around the block when it comes to salons\r but my search is over, this is the place. more

I should have known better from the poor reviews online. I got an entry level color job for a high price. The price was never quoted up front and was definitely not worth $220. I also got a trim for that price. The color was obvious and streaky. The cut was choppy and had bad lines, which was from the manager/owner, Donna. I had another stylist fix the cut. The most upsetting part was the stylists all sitting around one station talking about their boyfriends, husbands, kids, partying, etc. It was uncomfortable and a bit trashy. As other reviews state, the head massage during shampoo and conditioning was great, but by no means worth over $200. I would not recommend this salon. There are plenty of other salons with qualified stylists, fun atmosphere and intelligent conversation. more

I took my teenage daughter to Jodie for an updo for her prom. Jodie did a nice job on her hair but my daughter burst into tears in the car as a result of the rude comments she made to my daughter about her hair color. Jodie certainly has a right to her opinion, and she's obviously in the hair business, but rudeness is never acceptable. I went to this salon when I first moved to Lee's Summit and they were fairly new. The people were nice and did a good job. IIt seemed to be more and more expensive each time I went in. I just can't justify $40+tip for a haircut. Sadly, I don't have the budget for that. more

When I first moved here I didn't know any girls who colored their hair, and I had gotten a recommendation to get a hair cut and color and another place. It was horrible! I went to Innovations a couple days later, and my stylist was able to salvage my color perfectly. It was such a blessing to find a place like Innovations. Although they are a little pricey for the MidWest, you definitely get what you pay for!! They are amazing. Pros: Great Color and Cuts Cons: A little pricey - but you get what you paid for!! more

I received a gift certificate for a birthday gift and decided to try it out. I had never been to a spa and really didn't know what to expect. I really had a great experiance here. I had a facial and got my nails done and felt so pampered. I was so nice and the lady who took care of me was wonderful. I will be going back to pamper myself a little more, because the prices actually weren't that expensive at all. This is a great salon and spa to induldge yourself. more

I've taken my teenage daughter there 4 times and we loved the 1st person that did her hair, but she was gone when it was time for a trim. We tried a few of the other stylists...but no one there was really outstanding. We won't go back. more
