Innovations Salon & Day Spa

The staff here is incredibly friendly! I went here for a full body massage a few years ago and it was fantastic so I went back. Since their spa has been rearranged I must admit I was disappointed with the 2nd massage. Usually salons have their spas very quiet and tranquil but during my massage it was very noisy! It was the opposite of relaxing and very hard to not be distracted. I could hear ladies getting pedicure 10 feet outside the door, blow dryers, thuds from the next room, music, phones, and full conversations. To me, I was able to look past this and enjoy myself after 20 minutes or so but to a person who is looking for complete relaxation this is not the place to go. It was expensive so I feel that there should of been more respect for the guests who were in the spa...it was a bit uncomfortable. Overall the massage was absolutely fantastic! Ashley did a terrific job and every staff member was sweet as could be. Even when my boyfriend went there to purchase the massage he commented on how helpful and nice the girls were!! I would recommend this place for a great massage, but not a for relaxation.. more

My family just moved here a month ago. I was worried about having to find a New Hair Stylist... I went to Innovations to get my hair done (cut & color) and it exceeded my expectations. Everyone in the Salon was very accomadating as well as very sweet and welcoming. Erin was my hairstylist and I could not have gotten a better stylist to do my hair ( I am sure they all good).... She did exactly what I wanted done to my hair as well as made sure that I was very pleased and happy with the outcome. This salon is not pushy on their products at all. I met the owner of the Salon and she was a very sweet lady. My experience there was wonderful and I hope that anyone else that needs a good hairstylist (looking for one) would go there. I highly recommend them. They are worth the money and they are bad on prices.. more

I tried this salon with the Groupon certificate. The price quoted over the phone was not what was charged. They said it was due to extra color and toner.....but there was never a mention of a possibility of more money. I feel it was overpriced for the service rendered. I will keep searching for a salon. more

I have used Nicolette for about 2 years now. From the moment you sit in her chair you know you are in the hands of a professional. Not only does she listen to your needs, she can make it happen. My husband got a bad hair cut from another salon, I took him to Nicolette to fix it, he won't use anyone else now. We took our 6 year old daughter who has Down Syndrome to several salons, all with bad results. We took her to Nicolette, as soon as she sat in the chair Nicolette made her feel special and made her comfortable. now she tells us she needs her hair cut and ""wants to see Nikki"". Our entire family will use Nicolette everytime, you cant go wrong. ""if your hair sucks, don't worry she can fix it"". Pros: all around professional more

To begin with, I must say I'm not good with hair; I have always had my hair long and straight, because this is a style I could deal with. I'm 50+ and I've seen my share of good and bad hair cuts and color. I started going to Innovations Salon 5 years ago and I have been very pleased with the attention I receive while sitting in my stylist chair. My stylist is Jenie Stufflebean and in addition to being sweet, she will listen to what I think I want and what I can and cannot do with hair. She will disuss options, my cut, and how to manage my hair, according to my ability, after I go home. My color is always great and does not vary from color to color treatment; it's right on everytime. Jenie is a great stylist, has suggestions that are helpful and has talked me out of a few cuts I know I would have regretted later. Innovations Salon is my place to be, and the rewards card allows me to earn points for other services offered at the Salon! I have recommended this salon in the past and I recommend you give it a try and ask for Jenie, you will not be disappointed. Pros: Great cut and color more

I loved my day at the spa with these ladies. Every one of them were so nice. I enjoyed a full day with them doing a facial (my favorite), one hour massage (very relaxing), pedicure & manicure (loved it too), and hair and makeup. The girl that did my hair gave me some good ideas to do with my hair and was very friendly. Everyone was just so nice and got along really good. Thank you for an awesome day. This Salon is the best. My daughter and I have been seeing Nicholette at Innovations for the last year and I would never let anyone else touch my hair. She is always nice and personable and on time for appointments. The front desk staff are great. Just a great fun place to go for the salon services you need. The salon is very nice. It's modern, with a flare. I've been going there for about two years. My stylist is Jody. She does a wonderful job! It is somewhat pricey, but you get what you pay for!!! more

I love this place. Nicolette is the best ever. Everyone is so upbeat and friendly. The atmosphere is wonderful, the music is even upbeat. They offer everything you could ever need or want. Nicolette is pro, she can tell you what would look good or not as soon as you sit in her chair. I just go to her now and say ""make me look good"" and she does. It is great to have such faith in your stylist. I will never go anywhere else, I don't care how far the drive, I've found my beauty home. Thanks Innovations! I love the special treatment I get. more

If you want AWESOME hair, MEGAN is the stylist for you! I chose Innovations because of a great review of Megan on the yellowpages website & was SO glad I did. Megan is such a professional that she picked up on exactly what cut I wanted, knew exactly how to cut it right, & now I LOVE my hair! It was always a challenge before to find a stylist who could make my layered, wavy hair look right--but not anymore since I've found Megan! Salon Innovations is a wonderful and very professional salon. I have been getting my hair done by Taylor, one of their stylists for over a year now and she does an AMAZING job. I work for a Media company in Kansas City and looks are very important in this industry. I can not tell you how many times I have gotten compliments on how great my hair looks and the style of it. I have been going to Innovations for a couple of years seeing the same stylist, but the last time I went she was no longer there, and of course they wouldn't tell me where she moved to so the receptionist referred me to another stylist with just as much experience. Well come to find she only had 1 year of experience not the 10+ my other stylist had and she did a bad job it was uneven and all I wanted was a trim, maybe if Taylor did't talk through the whole haircut she would have heard what I wanted. I've been going to Innovations for at least 3-4 years now. Amber is the best hair stylist I've ever had. She's amazing and can do anything you request. Andrea is the bomb!! She does makeup, waxing, and facials like nobody's business!! Everyone there is so nice. The staff is unbelievable and makes sure that you have everything you need. I have been going to Elizabeth for several years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I recently relocated to Texas and I still come up here to have her color and cut my hair. Her knowledge of all types of hair is endless. She has helped me get my color treated hair healthier than it has been in a long time. I would also recommend Ashley as a stylist. They are both friendly, knowledgeable, professional and all around fantastic! I recently had the pleasure of meeting Andrea, and having a facial. It was amazing, she took my personal skin care needs in to consideration and was able to customize every step of the facial to help my skin concerns. The front desk staff are always friendly and professional. My husband and I travel often and I have experienced salon and spa services all over, this is by far my favorite place. I recommend all of my family and friends to Elizabeth, Ashley & Andrea at Innovations. I started seeing Elizabeth in February of this year as I wanted a stylist who was highly experienced and would provide the time and attention necessary to make my thinning hair look great. I have not gone anywhere since that first appointment despite the fact that I have switched jobs and my trips to see Elizabeth are definitely out of my way now. Elizabeth is very knowledgeable and I really value her opinion on things. This past spring I decided I wanted to go much much shorter with my hair length and I was thrilled with the results, which I do attribute to Elizabeth taking the pictures I brought with me and tailoring the style to my face shape and all. It is definitely one of the best hairstyles I have ever had! I also have been consistently impressed with the color service I have received. It always comes out looking great and compliments my skin tone. I told Elizabeth that I wanted something that looked natural without being too blah... she definitely delivered. I'm really sorry to hear that other people have had bad experiences, but I honestly can't find a bad thing to say. I received a manicure and pedicure a few months ago that was very enjoyable and intend to get a massage before too long. I have found everyone at the desk to be gracious, polite, and very friendly. I recommend Innovations highly to anyone who is looking for a great cut, color, or spa service! Yes, it can be somewhat noisy but it is that way because it is generally busy which I see as a sign of happy customers and good service... I have been going to Innovations for over a year now. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Yes it might be pricey, but anywhere you go these days its pricey if you want GOOD quality work done. My stylist Jody has always done an amazing job. Never once has she let me down. Ever just not know what you want to do to your hair?? Well shes good at helping you find something that would fit you perfectly. I not only stay at this salon because I love my stylist I also love all the other stylist they are always so friendly.
