I have been to hundreds of restaurants in my lifetime and, since moving to Southern CA from San Francisco last year I have been to close to a hundred more, my most recent trek was in search of a perfect Birthday venue. After countless meals and thousand's of dollars my wonderful daughter-in-law suggested Il Tiramisu, skeptical that it was just another ristorante let down, I arrived with only half a heart...well, the moment I walked in the door Peter greeted us with a warm infectious smile; made many suggestions, listened to my wine requests and the long and the short of it was SUCCESS!!! The food was more than fantastic it was superb, the Zucca Fritata, which was made with gorgonzola and butternut squash was heaven in every bite, the dinner salad was dressed to perfection with perfectly cultivated green. The chocolate soup should have a danger sign for it's addictive quality with a splash of Amarretto flavor. The Dao, Tawny Port was the best Porto Fino I have had in years; next stop BevMo to buy that fantastic Port.\r
Everything we had from the chichen to the spinach salad was prepared to perfection, even the starting foccacia bread and olive oil dip was sublime. There was not a thing I could find amiss.\r

Service was gracious, attentive, everything one could ask for. Needless to say, this will be the place for my 50th birthday bash. I am sure my lovingly missed little Genovese Grandpa and Grandma would have heartily approved (Although it leans on the Tuscan side). No need to search for the perfect place for a gathering, believe me, I have truly done that for you from Calabasas to Studio City every little bistro, cafe, ristorante...take it from a woman whose whole life was financed by the restaurant industry...this is THE PLACE.
Pros: Service, Attention to detail, food
Cons: it's not a little bigger
