It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

fun easter brunch! 5/10/2009

I've been going to the Hyatt regency almost every Easter for years with my family. The rooms are comfortable and always clean. The easter brunch buffet spread is always most impressive. more

Hyatt Cambridge, MA 10/14/2008

Similar to other reviews, this hotel is NOT typical to other Hyatt Hotel experiences. The room decor was what I typically call "tired", in need of new carpets, renovations, etc. Although I had requested a late check-out and had a "privacy" sign on my door, I came back to my room only to find hotel staff in my room taking my luggage. When asked what they were doing, they stated that they had received a "message" that there was abandoned luggage in the room and they were taking it out. The privacy sign was on the floor at their feet. Not wanting to answer further questions, they left the room. Hotel management had no explanation. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, service is marginal and guest requests not honored. more

not worth the money 6/25/2008

got stuck staying here since the Doubletree was all booked. I stayed here w/ 2 colleagues this wk and we were not impressed, esp. considering it's a Hyatt and the amount of money we paid. we got 1 large suite ($419/night) and 2 standard rms ($298/night). the rooms were ok but ive stayed at nicer Marriott's and Sheratons. the bathrooms are tiny and the shower had a little mold crust at the corners. the room is also very damp, esp. the carpets.\r \r the worst part about this hotel is the food; it's a total rip off. I know it's not cheap to eat at hotels but come on, for the prices they are charging, it should be way better. I ordered rm service 1 night and it was $52 for crappy fettuccine alfredo w/ salty fishy grilled shrimp and a lemonade. wtf. the next night, knowing better to eat outside of the hotel, I got the seared tuna app. at the hotel bar while waiting for my colleagues and it was terrible - fishy, dry, stale, BLEH - $20! I was annoyed so we told them to send it back which they thankfully did and did not charge us for it. I will admit the egg cheese sausage biscuit they offered at breakfast was pretty yummy. \r \r rip-off #2 is the parking - $35/night - CRAZY! terrible. that is the most I have ever paid for parking at any hotel and ive stayed at alot, esp. in Boston.\r \r I am def. never coming back here. you get nothing for the money they are charging you. Cons: food, overnight parking more

Great View 5/19/2008

This a very nice hotel located along the Charles river. The rooms are nice and the staff friendly. They have nice conference rooms and a very nice restaurant. The downside is that you either stay and eat at this hotel or you need to take a taxi. There are no other restaurants within walking distance. more

In need of a renovation 3/1/2008

The service at the hotel was uninspired. Rate was over priced. The quality of the linens were low, and the guestroom chair had tears in it. The hotel lobby is old, carpet frayed. The hotel fell way below Hyatt standards. In a city with many great hotels don't even bother... Pros: nice view Cons: expensive more

Love it! 9/27/2007

The view of the Charles is breathtaking. I stayed here during my freshmen orientation when my parents came up with me. I went jogging by the river in the morning and that was awesome. The rooms are nice too, better than the other hotels my parents stayed at when they visited other times. And the building itself looks so nice at night! more

My favorite place to stay when visiting Boston. 11/25/2006

The Hyatt Regency is not cheap, but it is worth it when staying in Boston. I love waking up to see the Boston University crew teams rowing on the St.Charles river. The staff is very helpful, the breakfast was good, and the hotel is within walking distance of Fenway Park (which is a must for me)! Pros: View of the St.Charles and within walking distance of Fenway! more

Hyatt 10/13/2006

I have stayed in this Hyatt while in Boston for business and really liked the hotel. It was clean and the staff was very helpful. I really like the work out facility and location. more

good view of the skyline 6/12/2005

I always stay in this hotel when i am in Boston. They have a fantastic view of the river as well as the skyline of the city. It is reasonably close to the T stops, and they do have a shuttle that goes to the T stops and to Harvard square. rooms are nice, with all the amenities that you would expect. health club is also nice, but the walk there is through an unheated hall way (in winter), so can be a little chilly. swimming pool is excellent. restaurant on top serves expensive but good food. parking is somewhere around 20-25 bucks and valet. they have packages in which you park yourself and then it's a part of the package, but whi needs a car in Boston anyway? more
