Hugo's Pizza II

My husband and I heard some good things about Hugo's. So we thought we would give it a try...Delivery is HORRIBLE!!! takes more than an hour on the slowest night. Subs are big but are Philly steak subs had nothing but mushrooms....we counted three, YES three pieces of steak. Both Subs were this way. after calling to inform them about this, they said the manager was to busy to talk so i said i will call back later, 30 mins later they got another call from me... again manager to busy....it wasn't till the next day, until i spoke with him. He said that's not how they are made and sent new ones. Subs turned out the same way....never again. We have also have had the pizza nothing to great more

When my fiance and I moved to West Duluth we were excited to be in the delivery zone for Hugo's...that changed quickly. The last three times we've ordered haven't been real impressive. The last time we ordered which will be the last time we even consider them again was horrible. Not only did we wait over and hour and a half for a couple cheeseburgers...upon calling to see the status of the delivery, the female provided no apology and instead an ""it's on the way,"" CLICK. When our food finally did arrive it was obvious it had sat out way too long. Coleslaw and dips made to be cold were as warm as soup, onion rings and french fries were soggy and the cheeseburgers were distgusting. We will never be ordering from Hugo's again. more

Walking up to the place, it wouldnt seem like much. Small store front, one window looking in, and generally hidden. Once entering, you have a sense of family, good times type stuff, ya know? Arcade games against the wall, dimly lit, its quite cozy! The service can be sub par at times, only because theres one waitress working at a time, so it is easily forgiven. The food is AMAZING!!!! Large portions, hot when it comes out, and delicious. the pizza does lack a little, but the crust is phenominal! Prices seem slightly high for the pizza and appetizers, but for the sandwhichs and subs, perfectly priced. more

It's one of the few places that deliver to us and they will came at just about any hour day or night. The portions are gigantic, especially the subs, and the prices are reasonable. The pizza isn't the greatest but everything is great for the price. Pros: the subs are enormous Cons: They got rid of my fave menu items more

Not the greatest building but the subs more than make up for it. You better be hungry if you order a full sub. They are gigantic and the price can't be beat. more

One of the top three pizza joints in the Duluth Superior area. If you like a thin crust (not as thin as Sammy's but thinner then the national franchise shops) and great sauce this is your place. Delivery always on time. I love this great locally owned business. \r Their Philly Steak sandwich is a great ""buy for your buck"", not matched anywhere in town (not a diet meal).\r Can't go wrong with their burgers either.
