I've been a patient of Dr. Hovander for several years, and really like him. His office is very close to the UW, which is why I originally chose him. You can get an appointment easily, and he is always knowledgeable and patient to answer my questions. What I like best is that I don't feel rushed as though he's trying to simply attend to the next patient, which is really rare these days! I had LASIK several years ago so am knowledgeable about eye conditions and terminology. As a patient, I also want explanations about what the doctor is doing, and Dr. Hovander is always happy to explain procedures and further educate his patients. In short, he takes his time with patients and loves educating them- perfect!!
