When I was a little younger and not as terribly concerned with service, I didn't mind Hound Dog's and their complete lack of care when it comes to customers; now, it irritates me beyond belief. On my very last visit there, I went to pick up a pizza because I was informed that they no longer deliver to my apartment. (Them and everyone else, even though I'm two blocks from campus--but they're kind of far away so I understand.) They did not tell me a time over the phone, so I assumed that it was ready and that I should go ahead and drive over. Once I got there, I waited over an hour for a pizza that was probably done before I walked in the door; the staff asked me my name, couldn't find the pizza that was right in front of them (I saw them look at it several times, and it did end up being mine), and couldn't be bothered to ask a follow-up question or ask anybody in the kitchen if they knew about the order. No offer to compensate us for the hour-and-a-half, possibly hour-and-forty-five-minute wait. I knew from the look on her face that she strongly suspected that was my pizza when I walked in the door; I've worked food service and I know it can be confusing when orders change--that's why you ask instead of just ignoring it and hoping it goes away. Their service is inexcusable; they wouldn't have a business without the customers, so why treat them like dirt?
Pros: open 24/7
Cons: Staff is totally unconcerned with patrons.
