Hollywood Kennels

My dog Lilly had never been kenneled. Tthree years ago my son and daughter in law were going to watch her when I went away for 2 weeks. They were both too allergic to do it so, in a pinch , I had to find a kennel. I was going to use Hollywood once before but my plans changed. I called them and they were able to take her in on short notice. I have been going there ever since. Anne is wonderful and Lilly had no problems when she came home. more

Our dogs stay two nights in this kennel.Both of them were well taken care of.\r Ana was professional and friendly. \r I will trust again hoping to have the same experience. more

Our dog has been going to Hollywood Kennels for 4 years for boarding and grooming. I have only positive statements for the establishment and the owners. The owners are friendly, courteous and make sure that all procedures are in place to ensure a safe stay (be it one afternoon for a grooming or a week away from home). My father will sometimes need to pick our dog up and they have a copy of his photo ID to ensure that our dog is being picked up by the proper person. The owners and staff are friendly to our dog and remember her everytime she comes to visit. My three children who always miss thier playmate enjoy speaking with the owners and make them feel comfortable that their dog is in good hands. We are able to bring her own dog food and blanket as well and always got them back. Our dog comes out healthy, clean and well fed. more

I highly recommend this kennel to everybody I know. I have been bringing my pets there for over 10 years and we have never had a bad experience there!! My pets come back healthy and happy..just the way they should!! Try them because you will love them too! more

we brought our 2 dogs there after a weekend stay my dog was never the same acts very skiddish, never had that problem before always friendly and happy. I had owned a shop in roselle and another man brought in his dog who was shaking and he said he came from the kennels he had her boarded there too. We stay home now more

I brought my Pomeranian at Hollywood Kennels for years for grooming. I have all good to say about them. The folks there were always pleasant and nice. I've heard nothing but good about them. more

hollywood kennels has been in the same lovcation for 33 years. taking your dog to the kennels is a normal everyday movement. my dog leaves hollywood kennels with a better attitude then when i brought him in. almost all business is security camera today. \r \r its a shame, but cry baby cry. for 10 years i have boarded and groomed my dog at hollywood kennels. i give hollywood kennels 5 stars. my dog will be boarded with them next week. more

people know hollywood kennels protects all pets. clients are allowed into the customer area, mom and dad sent them to hollywood kennels. they understand. they also wear clean clothes and leave stable clothes at home. you are right, learn and go to school. my family and friends love hollywood kennels. there is no where else we would go!!! julie your review is stinky! more

I just picked up my dog, after being boarded, from the "Home of the Stars," Hollywood Kennels. They give fantastic care and are friendly people. I read all of the reviews prior to choosing Hollywood and I was informed that they haven't even taken strays dogs from the Village of Roselle for 4 years. In fact, I verified this by calling the Police Department and I was told they go to Lake Street Animal Hospital !!! Santos, we all are entitled to our own opinion but, you need to get your facts straight before you hurt this fine business's reputation!! If there WAS a smell....it must have been you. If you washed your dog 3 times, maybe you should have crawled in with him because remember, a clean body is a clean mind. It truly sounds like you don't know where you were at. I give Hollywood Kennels, and their staff, 5 stars & I wouldn't go anywhere else! more

This Hollywood Kennels is the WORST place to board any animal and I would NOT recommend it to anyone. My dog " accidentally" had to be put there because he had wandered away from the house one afternoon as we were all outside doing yardwork and the Roselle police "supposedly" could not hold my dog still to read his ID tag, and the tag is so easy to be read that Stevie Wonder could read it and my dog is so gentle he would let anyone pet him and NOT fight to get away or anything. So my dog had to spend the night in this pig stye and after having to pay $125.00, I complained about the price and the woman mentioned that there is a minimum stay of 3 days and that is $125.00 and had the nerve to tell me that I could leave him there for 2 more days to get my full moneys worth. What a scam !!! Of course I said Hell NO ! I took him home and I had to wash him 3 times to get the smell off of him. I was not sure if the smell was from the cage they threw my dog in or if it was the odor coming from more

I have a 5 month old puppy and I have boarded him twice at Hollywood Kennels. I was treated with the utmost respect and my dog was too! I would rather board my dog where strangers aren't going to upset him by walking through all day. Plus, they showed a video of the place and their inspection papers from the state. I don't know what others are complaining about because these people, and this kennel, is the best around. I have boarded other dogs elsewhere in the past with bad results. They even have someone there 24 hours/day, 7 days/week! Can't beat it!!!! more

Staff was impersonal and preoccupied with personal business when I arrived. They did not attempt to reassure my dog, just noosed her and took away. I know from her behavior when she came home, she had little or no human interaction while there. Red flags should have gone up when you are not allowed to inspect the kennel. The cameras are a joke, probably serve as the babysitter, so no human has to go inside the kennel area. I contacted my insurance agent and was told the difference in cost is minute if you allow patrons to inspect the area. Then they would like an hours notice before you pick up your dog - double red flag. I would neither use again or recommend this kennel. more

The people were rude to both me and my wife, they seemed to have little compassion for the dog. Our dog came out of there with sores on her front knees, we believe from being dragged around as she wouldn't walk becuase she was too scared, and instead of talking to her they just dragged her around. more

I have been taking my dogs here for over 15 years and Have recieved nothing but the best treatment from the entire staff. They really make you feel like you are leaving your dog to be watched by own of your own family members. They take good care of my dog, Guido, and he never complains about being there. I would recomend this place to anyone who wants TLC for their animals! more

One rule of thumb when choosing a boarding kennel for your pet is to inspect the actual area where the animal will be kept. If the kennel doesn't allow you to see the area, then they might have something to hide. Hollywood Kennels doesn't allow you to inspect the boarding area. Draw your own conclusions. I boarded my dog here before I knew any better and because it was the cheapest rate. But he came back with a sore on his nose, and the staff couldn't say how he got it. Oh, well. Live and learn. more
