Atlanta has always struggled with its place in the national arts world, and, unfortunately, the High Museum can't quite compete with some of the nation's finest museums. The High does frequently bring in exhibits compelling to any city. The unique way of organizing its collection, by theme, not era or artist, takes some getting used to, but in the end, the arrangement offers enlightening takes on common artistic themes. A trip to the High is a definite stop for locals or out of towners interested in art.
