The Dr. and the hygienist were very professional and I am totally pleased with that aspect of the visit..I am not pleased with the receptionist...Nicole, I believe. I had corresponded with the office staff BEFORE my appt and asked if I would be able to make payments because I don't have dental ins., and I was told that i could get a pmt plan....when I went to check out and pay some of my bill, Nicole said "There are no notes here, so you are expected to pay the full amt at the time of the visit"....I told her that the reason I called about pmt, was the reason that I chose this dental office...she said "I'll let you do it this time, but in the future, you will need to pay the full amt at the time of the visit"...then she said "what could you COMFORTABLY pay" ..not much about this experience was comfortable, since the people waiting in the office area and the staff had already heard all of the conversation. I paid half of the 141.00...which was OK, but I didn't need the grief when I had arranged before my visit, so that this wasn't an issue. Dr. Smith seemed very kind and even talked about the high cost of dentistry during my visit, so I was a little surprised by the receptionist acting like I was some kind of a low life who wasn't going to pay my bill immediately. I would really like to continue with HealthPark, but I can't get dental work done and be expected to pay immediately when I don't even know what the amount will be. I am single with one income. Thanks!
