Dr. Greenspan saved my husband's life. I will be forever grateful to this wonderful doctor. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/20/2012

Been going to see Dr. Greenspan for over 10 years. While on occasion he may have had some less than stellar front desk support, he is a terrific doctor. Very professional. I couldn't recommend him higher. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/9/2012

I have been a patient of Dr. Greenspan since 1992. In 2002 he diagnosed a melanoma for me. I only know both Dr. Greenspan and his office manager Barbara to be very professional, knowledgeable, kind and caring in regards to any derma issues I have had over the years. I have referred many colleagues to Dr. Greenspan including family members and all have thanked me after seeing him! Dr. Greenspan is the ""WALL ST"" dermatologist!! more

Recommend Dr. Greenspan 1/30/2012

I was referred to Dr. Greenspan by my internist. He is professional in demeanor, thorough, meticulous with follow up exam, does not mention other patients, and treats medical matters in a timely fashion. I've recommended him to friends. more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE 12/1/2011

Apart from the fact that I found Dr. Greenspan creepy in person, I found out that he mentioned my name when speaking to another patient! Remember Doctor Patient Confidentiality? Well, he broke it and I'm pissed. (I found out because the patient he spoke to works with me and apparently he made small talk with her about me during their appointment. For the record, I only saw him one time and he still felt comfortable sharing my personal information without my consent!) DO NOT GO HERE! more

Avoid if you can 8/5/2011

Basically, this is a decent doctor if you don't have any skin condition (so why do you need a dermatologist then? exactly my point). If he finds an abnormal mole he calls you to give you the result, he has no sympathy, no compassion whatsoever, he doesn't try to make you feel better about it PLUS he tells you that you are gonna have to live with a huge permanent scar for the rest of your life. REALLY? That's great, isn't it? If you are waiting for a positive word from this doctor you can wait forever, he only gives you bad news and he doesn't even care if you are devastated. more

Good Doctor 11/17/2009

First of all, I read through some of the comments below and think it's ridulous to rate a doctor based on how other people (office staff) act. \r \r I will be happy though, to review Dr. Greenspan based on how Dr. Greenspan acted, because that's only fair! The doctor is nice, and has helped me everytime I've gone to his office. He even gave me his e-mail address and asked me to send him a list of specialists so he could help me make a decision (went above and beyond). I would keep going back because HE was a good doctor, nothing to do with his office appearance or staff. more

I like him. 10/11/2009

I just had to comment here after reading some of the negative comments about Dr. Greenspan. I guess people can be different and some people seem way too prickly. The staff seems fine to me, professional. Dr. Greenspan did an excelent job remvoing a pre-cancerous spot. I recall a few years ago I went to a really bad Skin doc, dirty office, untrained help, ect. This is a well run place, but I suppose some people will always find a negative. Pros: Friendly, proffessional more

Great Dermatologist! 1/26/2009

Dr. Greenspan is great. I started seeing him about a year before my wedding to clear up my skin for the big day. He promised that he would get me looking great for the big day and he did not disappoint. He provided solutions for each of my concerns. I would definitely recommend him to others. The staff does have an abruptness to them, but I did not find it to be a problem. However, he would greatly benefit from a more professional staff. more

Avoid at all costs. 8/12/2008

Dr. Greenspan was friendly enough, but I came in with a list of concerns and he completely blew me off, not even addressing them in a serious manner. He promptly wrote me an Rx, as if that solves everything. His desk staff is the worst I have encountered in a dr.'s office. Rude, unprofessional, loud, discussing non-work things as if the patients weren't even there. Made a fuss when I asked for a real receipt, not a hand-written note that I'd paid a co-pay. The nurse was even worse -- cranky and bothered. And, yes, there's more -- one of the unfriendly receptionists called me a week later to tell me my lab results, said to hold for the dr. I held for 8 minutes before she came back and said he'd call me later, which of course he didn't. She called me 5 days later, again put me on hold. I hung up. We'll see if she or he calls back. I'd like my results so I can go to another dr. and get real medical help, but if I never hear from this office again I'll be fine with that. Pros: None. Cons: See my whole review. more

Customer Service Needs Interpersonal Training 5/20/2008

Dr. Greenspan is very professional and I would recommend him to anyone in need. However, he needs to send his receptionist(s) out for interpersonal training. I understand the phones can be somewhat high pressured, but she could use another tone and display a little more patience. I find her to be highly unprofessional. I personally do not think he is aware of her poor telephone skills.\r \r Unfortunately, he was rated based on his employee(s). I understand he is very busy and you cannot get appointments as soon as you'd like, but I don't need someone to rush me off the phone to ask whether I want it or not.\r Pros: Concerns and recommendations Cons: Immature Office Staff more

I never made it to the appointment because of the unfriendly staff 12/5/2007

I must say, I never made it to the appointment. The location would have been very convenient for me but the receptionist was so unfriendly, so uncaring & rushed me off the phone that after mulling it over, I called back & cancelled the appointment. \r \r The Dr may be great, but after calling my old dermatologist (less convenient location) and getting a kind & professional response from his staff, I decided to go back to him. \r \r A lot of consideration should go into who is hired to sit at the front desk and answer patient calls. more

great dermatologist with pleasent bedside manner 3/12/2007

dr. greenspan was recommended to me by my gp. he does my skin cancer screenings (checks my moles, etc.) and treats various other minor skin problems for me. I've been seeing him for nearly two years now and really can't complain. i feel comfortable enough with him to ask questions and feel confident in his opinions and recommendations. if you are looking for a derm, he's certainly one of the best i've ever seen (he's my fourth). Pros: bedside manner, thoroughness more
