Great Harvest Bread Company

WOW, who would have thought I'd find gluten free bread at a regular bread store. And, my daughter absolutely loves the bread! She says it's the closest to regular bread texture she's tried, and believe me we've spent a lot of money trying to find a bread she'll eat. Everything we've tried here has been absolutely wonderful and finished to the last crumb! Altho I have to place an order ahead, it is so worth it. Thank you Great Harvest! more

After turning away from bread for one year I was enticed to return to this staple of life by one taste from the Great Harvst Bread Company. Their regularly offered breads like cinnamon chip, whole wheat, cinnamon swirl, italian white, etc....are wonderful but wiat until you come across the specialy breads like the red, white and blue for fourth of July and the wonderful hoska for Christmas and Easter. They are not to be compared. Wonderful! more

if you are a bread lover you MUST stop in here --- this bread is absolutely amazing, there are a ton of different types to chose from and when you go in you are given a sample slice...i can't even begin to describe how really good this bread is - definitely nothing that you can find on the shelf at your local grocery store...the prices aren't bad and even if they were it would be worth the splurge....definitely try this one out! more

Watch the calories, but the bread is absolutely fabulous. Everything tastes really good. I love the cinnamon chip especially the cinnamon chip cream cheese scone (the best). I love their scones too they are really good. All the regular loafs taste really good. Also, they tend to give very large samples if you can't make up your mind on what you want to eat. I end up leaving with two loafs which go really quickly. Its a great place to go. more

It is hard to choose my favorite bread here. That is why the sample slice you can taste when you enter really helps you try new breads and try different flavors. My favorite this month was the rosemary bread. The flavors were muted yet significant. The grain breads are healthy and filling. It is easy to place special orders for holidays and family events. They owners make everything easy and efficient. The staff is friendly and the store clean. Wonderful Bread! more

Anyone new to Omaha must be sure to check out Great Harvest Bread Company, with several locations including Dundee, Rockbrook, and west Dodge Road. Great Harvest makes scores of delicious flavors of breads, scones, bars, cookies and more, using whole grain flours and excellent ingredients. They make several flavors of high-carbohydrate breads and desserts as well as high-fiber, low-carb breads for the more diet conscious. Now, you can even get wonderful sandwiches made with their many bread selections. I highly recommend the Dakota bread, made with several whole grains. It is fabulous. Also, try the pumpkin chocolate chip sweet bread. These breads can be tried on a rotating basis as they vary the breads baked each day. DID I MENTION THEY GIVE OUT FREE SLICES OF THEIR BREADS EVERY DAY? What more could you want? Friendly staff, too! more
