I frequently have outta town guests and they look forward to dining out at a new restaurant every visit. So, of course, I couldn’t disappoint them, since seafood is their favorite food, I decided to take them to this new sustainable seafood restaurant, “Goin’ Coastal” in the Virginia Highland neighborhood. “Goin’ Coastal” what a catchy name! We visited the restaurant on a Sunday, so our dining option consisted of their “Sunday Supper” menu( a fixe prixe menu), $17 for a 4 course meal(Kids $6), 5pm-10pm. What a great idea, very reminiscent of my childhood days having Sunday Dinner at my grandma’s. Sunday Supper offers guest a starter(fresh green salad), one of 5 seafoods or meats and shared family style sides(collards, cheesy grits, veggie medley, red potatoes salad), did I mention, there’s also dessert. The food is seasoned well, cook to perfection, the salad and sides, are all you can eat, so come hungry and ready to “chow” down(LOL). Reservations are a must, the restaurant fills up fast! There’s also a full bar, there’s plenty of neighborhood street parking. Walk, run, Swim, just get there! Now, don’t dine alone, be sure to bring your family and friends.
