Pain free shots 11/16/2011

My husband was terrified of going to the doctor or dentist. The mere thought would make him sick. I finally talked him into going for a new patient visit. It had been over 20 years since he had been to a dentist and it was a long time coming. His biggest fear was the shots and losing all of his teeth. Out for The Money 10/10/2011

He only wanted to do big money work on me he refused to fix my partial said it could not be fixed I needed new one, Ignored my request to do a few small fillings that I wanted done he wanted to do 2 crowns on teeth that I had no problems with 2 years later I still have no problems with teeth he wanted to work on and also had my partial fixed by a another Dentist, when he looked in my mouth seemed to me all he was looking for was Dollar Signs This is My Opinion we are all entitled to our Opinion make your own decisions!! more

Best Dental office in Gastonia! 1/6/2011

I moved to Gastonia 5 years ago and have been coming here ever since on a recommendation from a friend. The office staff is very friendly and always greets you with a smile. They are very flexible with their schedule and always try to get you an appointment that fits your needs. Dr. Godel is very patient and kind and always makes sure you are comfortable during procedures. I would highly recommend this office. I used to hate going to the dentist but this office definitely makes the experience more enjoyable. more

I moved to Gastonia 5 years ago and have been coming here ever since on a recommendation from a friend. The office staff is very friendly and always greets you with a smile. They are very flexible with their schedule and always try to get you an appointment that fits your needs. Dr. Godel is very patient and kind and always makes sure you are comfortable during procedures. I would highly recommend this office. I used to hate going to the dentist but this office definitely makes the experience more enjoyable. more

New to the Gastonia area 11/5/2010

We are new to the area and were having trouble getting someone that participated with our insurance. Finally, someone who does. Not only did Dr. Godel participate with our insurance, but he also billed our insurance for their part of the bill. What a blessing! No prepay and waiting to get our money from the insurance. The office hours were convenient and the staff is was so friendly. more

For so many years I would hide my smile because of my teeth. I did not realize how important it was until my child asked why I was sad all the time. Now I can smile and not be afraid of what other people might say. Thanks, Alex more

Hurst girls 9/27/2010

Dr. Godel and his staff are always so good to our whole family, I had to call him for an emergency over the weekend and he took the time to tell me what to do and was kind enough to call and check on me the next day. I was able to get an appointment 1st thing Monday. more

No insurance, no problem 9/14/2010

Our family was in search of a dental insurance plan when we started going to Dr. Godel's office. After getting a few quotes we found that many of them had waiting periods for major coverage and the coverage was not that great. Dr. Godel gives discounts to people like us without dental coverage, finally someone who cares. more

Finally, a dentist who really does take my insurance and honors the insurance fees. Our family has been to several dentists over the years and they all accepted our insurance but in the end we always end up owing and have to put off future treatment. Anyone will take your insurance, but do they participate and give you the most for your money? If not it's time to find a new dentist. more

Wonderful, our whole family loves Dr. G and his staff. Everyone is so kind and helpful, we can never thank them enough. Instead of trying to do things that are out of our budget Dr. G has always done what is most economical for all of us and never makes us feel obligated to any kind of treatment that we cannot afford. Where can you go and get an appointment on Friday afternoon for emergencies??? Our daughter had a chipped tooth from a school accident and he waited for us. Can you believe that?! BAD EXPERIENCE, WILL NOT RETURN 9/2/2010

I went to Dr Godel about 5 years ago on the recommendation of a friend. All was well until I needed a crown. He prepared the tooth and put the crown on and then said he wasn't happy with it, that he was going to have to redo it but instead he ground it down and said it should be OK. Approx. 4 years later I mentioned to him that it was sentitive and he said I probably needed a root canal and that since it had been 4 years and shrugged his shoulders like there was nothing he could do to help me but charge me again to replace it.. So I returned to my previous dentist, who had put another crown on with great results, and after x-rays he said I did not need a root canal but that the crown was not tight fitting near the gum so bacteria etc. could get in and cause problems. He is replacing it and I will not return to Dr Godel. more

Very pleased. 3/30/2010

I went to Dr. Godel for an emergency tooth issue. The office got me in the next day (a Friday) when no one else seemed to be open. He was very sensitive to my dislike for dentists and made me feel very comfortable. He talked me through everything and personally calls me every evening after my appointments. I have been very pleased with him and his office staff. more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE 8/20/2009

He talked down to me like I was an idiot!! I will NEVER go back and will sure to tell everyone I know to not go to him as well. That was the worst experience of my life at a dentist. I went because my jaw was swollen and he came in and told me that there was nothing he could do and if I didn't get it taken care of then it would lead to all kinds of health problems. He made me feel so stupid for even going to see him, he made it seem like I should have known what was wrong with my mouth... because I am a dentist. Pros: None more
