YUM! I had, by accident, the chicken parm sandwich (I had ordered the pasta dish, but it's cool!) and the garlic rolls. I'm extremely hard to please when it comes to garlic rolls, but these are definitely awesome! The chicken parm sandwich was massive but delicious. Even though it was delivered, the bread was crispy and fresh! Nice job guys! more

Huge 6 topping salad. Sicilian slice was huge as well but just ok. Not enough sauce for me but that's just my preferences. Well worth the money. more

This pizza delivery joint has another branch in the southwest section. Do NOT give them your business! I ordered a special multiple item deal, but the delivery man neglected to bring everything and as he did not speak English and I do not speak Spanish, there was no communicating. When I called the shop, they said he "forgot" the items and were completely unwilling to rectify the situation altho they were still charging me the full cost. They SUCK!!!!! more

This is an old review I reposted. \r \r The South Miami area is plagued with pizzerias that use bad ingredients. This is why Cozzoli's keeps going out of business, and it probably killed the original Riviera Pizza. I tried the new Gables Pizza and Salad today, and it looks like they're using better ingredients. The owner says their cheese is real. \r \r The pizza is pretty good. The crust is fine, the cheese tastes okay, and the sauce is acceptable. They would do better if they made the sauce a little bit sweeter and used a little less salt. And they need to increase the amount of sauce slightly.\r \r La Dolce Vita is better, but too far to drive. The Big Cheese may be a little better, but again, too far to drive. Right now, Gables has the only good pizza in the area, unless you count the weird and inconsistent stuff sold at Miami's Best. Not great, but a thousand times better than what area residents are used to. more

I feel this is the best place to get a salad in the area. They have a great selection of toppings and all for a great price. Their pizza is good, but it is the salads I really go for.\r \r They have a couple of daily specials for those who don't want to spend a lot of money on lunch. more

Of the various local pizza parlours in the UM area, GPS is the most overtly Hispanic of the lot. Whereas Miami's Best makes American-style pizzas (thicker crust, medium cheese, heavy sauce); Pizza Rustica's pies are hommages to Rome's delicious uneven slices; and Big Cheese is traditional Neapolitan-American, it's GPS which will appeal to the broader Cuban/Hispanic population.\r \r The other reviewer mentioned the quality of cheese served by others and by GPS' predecessor, Riviera, which is a good pickup on detail. It seems to me that whatever cheese these folks use is acceptable, which is rather a good thing, since they use a heavy hand. It's literally wall-to-wall-cheese, in that South American (e.g., Argentine) manner.\r \r Their salad bar is all-inclusive, however, and all items, including the Daily Special of two slices of pizza and fountain drink ($4.99), are priced with budgets in mind.\r \r The ambiance is geered towards UM students and jocks, what with their twin overhead flatscreens playing ESPN, and across-the-road location to the campus. Curiously, they don't give UM discounts per se, unlike Miami's Best/Pizza Rustica. Being a modest operation (the place is narrow and rather tiny), perhaps it would cut into their profits. Those of you hoping to piggyback on their WiFi will also be left wanting -- none here.\r \r Bottom line is, this is not the place you run to when you want a terrific pizza. But it's definitely the place you drive to when you want a decent slice. more
