Freestyle Fighting Academy is awesome! Great atmosphere, everybody works hard. I recommend this gym to everybody. I'm hoping FFA has a gym in every state. I really enjoyed my time...

Worst

Starting they tell you it's 150 per month WITH A YEAR CONTRACT. They don't tell you it's basics class with no sparring, If you want to really train you have to pay 250 per month ...

I've been training in FFA for about 2 years now. FFA has given me self confidence as a fighter and as a person. It changed my life around. I now have more discipline and overall, I'm happy! more

great experience for me 1/26/2015

I’ve been training here at FFA since 2004 and it has been a great experience for me. I’m truly happy I made the decision to come and train here. It’s been, mainly, like a family to me, besides that, being fit. They have a top class jiujitsu and mma here. It gives me a getaway from everyday problems to come here and be part of a team and a family that cares about me. I would say and would recommend wholeheartedly to anybody out there: If you want to be a part of a top class team, a top class family that cares about you, come train here at FFA. more

The best gym in Miami 1/26/2015

I’ve been here in FFA for about 2 ½ years; I’m a blue belt here. FFA has helped me a lot in keeping my composure, keeping me more of a calm person. I’ve been more of a quick-triggered person and this has helped me calm down a lot. When I first came here I was about roughly 205 lbs and I’ve come down to 175 lbs. I recommend this place to a lot of people because this is a good enjoyment. The guys help me a lot with the techniques, and it is very challenging. Everything else is good here. more

Made me feel right at home 11/3/2014

As a girl I wasn't sure what to expect in a mixed martial arts school but FFA made me feel right at home. First of all, there are other girls here and one of the instructors is a girl. Second, they work at a comfortable pace, you never feel like you are getting forced into something you don't want to do. As a result, I got more toned, feel confident in my ability to defend myself, and made a lot of great friends as well. Great gym! more

I love this school! 10/14/2014

I've been training in FFA for a year and 4 months now and I love it! It's the best decision I've done. I just had my first MMA fight and I won. It was a great experience. I never saw myself flying out to New Jersey and getting everything taken care of for me over there and putting up a great show. Master Marcos and Master David, they taught me and they keep teaching me. Everyday you learn something, from the smallest thing to the biggest thing. There is always something to learn and I love it. It's a lot of hard work but with dedication, anything is possible. I'm very excited about my future and I know FFA is going to take me there and will help me. If you have goals, if you want to get somewhere, they will get you there. I love this school and I'm glad I was able to come here. more

Great gym! 10/5/2014

I've trained at FFA for about 4 1/2 to 5 years. When I first started here, I started doing it as a hobby and to get in shape. I played football all my life in highschool and semi pro but the type of condition I receive here in FFA has been incredible. I started out as hobby and now as a career, I'm currently a professional fighter. I'm trying to get other people motivated as well by me doing this. The gym has been great to me, I found great friends, great atmosphere, and nobody has egos here. Everybody's here to work hard, train, and have fun while doing it. more

Very satisfied since 2006 9/30/2014

I've been here at the Freestyle Fighting Academy since about 2006. I came to this place on accident. I grew up playing baseball and when I was done playing baseball, I was training at Tropical Park Boxing Gym. I met a guy that was training at FFA and I came by and tried it out and I totally fell in love with the sport. After about a year of training, I turned pro and shortly after that I quit my job and started training full time. A lot has to do with the personal relationships I built here at FFA. Master Marcos has been the one that has guided me to follow my dream. If you're passionate about your dream, you're gonna find a way to make money doing it. more

Pretty Satisfied 1/24/2013

I see alot of reviews of them 'stealing' your money and info that seems false. Yes price wise its a bit expensive but its good . They worked with my schedule so I can get the most out of it . It's a 6 month contract and whether you do the trial or not there's a 7th month free if you read the contract thats fine you won't have a problem. Also CAP classes are more expensive but that's bc it's training for fighters not your basic class from what I was told . The staff is great they motivate you . Im a female who does the mma program and everyone treats you with respect and if you need help the instructors are great at there jobs. more

Don't fall for it... 10/13/2010

This place indeed has some of the best teachers out there, but don't ever give this people a void check. I canceled my contract on January of 2010 and 8 months later in august, they started charging my account without notice. When I spoke with the bank and had them refund the money, they got a lawyer and are now trying to sue me for membership fees that I had "neglected to pay" for the previous 8 months. The gym is too expensive unless you are there to train for mixed martial art. DO NOT JOIN unless you are training to become a fighter because they will do their best to nit pick your wallet. If you don't believe me, call their "billing department" at the 1-800 number they give you (instead of the Gym's actual number), which is only open from 11 to 3 PM monday through friday, so that you can leave a voice mail that won't be answered unless they have something to gain. more

Not bad at all 9/1/2010

Went with a friend. Place is clean and organized. Staff was helpful. Wouldn't mind spending more time there. They have an open mat on Saturdays and you don't have to be a member to attend. Pretty cool. more

Self Defense and More 8/25/2010

My brother and I joined for the health benefits and are now hooked on MMA. We have done a grappling tournament both placed. We are very happy with the gym and the staff and the instructors really care about our progress. We've been to the Davie gym also and the quality of training there is the same high level. more

FFA is a real MMA gym. They have a cage, a boxing ring, punching bags huge mat space, open 24 hours classes from 6am to 12:30am. Unreal. I've made so much progrees. From being a little overweight and out of shape to where I am at now. I feel great and look great. more

BEST GYM IN FL 8/8/2010

FFA has been a home away from home for me. The gym is packed with a full facility (about 10 bags of all types like uppercut wall, banana bags etc) amd a full weight room.The Instructors are top notch traveling to Brazil, Thailand and Cuba to train and teach us so you know your getting the best instruction. Ive learned so much in only a few months and the other students are very friendly. more

best training in miami! 11/19/2009

This place exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and treated like one of their own. Great Customer Service. Instructors are full of knowledge and explain everything to perfect detail. Facilities and Equipment are top notch. Boxing Ring.. Weight Room.. Did I mention it's OPEN 24 HOURS?? They have definitely challenged me to get better everyday and I thank them forever for that. A+ more
