Fordham Dermatology

I have been a patient at this office for 5 years now, and while i understand everyone has their own opinion i beg to disagree. I love my Doctor, Dr. Savitz. He is kind hearted and actually remembers things i could have mentioned several visits ago. He seems genuinely concerned and interested in not only my skin care but in me as a person. The office is now new and improved & i feel like it stands out from the offices in the area. You cant always listen to the bad because 99% of the time people who hate it are the only ones who write reviews. more

I've been a loyal client for years and while I like the doctors I don't like their policies and even less, their staff. more

Was seen on a Thursday, late in the evening, and I thought that the service was great. Despite the fact that the office was open pretty late, the staff seemed happy to be there. The doctor was amazing and explained everything in detail. I went there despite the bad reviews and I am happy to know that it's nothing like described. The office is brand new and looks great. They actually moved to 553 E. Fordham, will definetely go back. more

i know from personal expirience that these people are all about the money and not about the patient. its all about gving the patient the belief that they are or will get better provided that they buy products that either dont help or that or slightly improve the condition. but the price doesnt equal the results...by far you have a better chance going to the local skin care section of your drug store Cons: everything more

Just left Fordham Dermatology after walking out. My appointment was at 2:30. I got there at about 2:25. When I got there, there was only one person waiting. I signed in, which all the names before mine were scratched out so I assumed I should be next. The receptionist asked if I was self-pay and I told her yes. A few people came in after me and they saw a doctor before me. At 3:10 I asked the receptionist if a doctor could see me soon. She simply said ""I think there is someone in all three of the rooms"". That isn't what I asked her but okay. By 3:25 I was fuming because no one explained to me what the hold up was and no one assured me that someone was coming or even apologized for the long wait. So I got up and left. I understand that the appointment time they give you is often not the actual time you will see someone, but an hour wait is unreasonable. Especially on a Friday afternoon. I will just find another dermatologist that can plan his/her appointments better rather than overbooking. Cons: LOOOOOOOOONG WAIT more

Don't go to this place! I got a 9am appointment and ended up leaving the place at around 12:45pm, after the doctor saw me for about 5 minutes and prescribed highly expensive prescriptions instead of similar ones with generic equivalents. Cons: Hidden fees, high prices, product peddling more
