IF YOU LIKE TO EAT IN A STEAK HOUSE AND WHEN YOU LEAVE YOU WISH YOU WENT TO GRILL 23 OR CAPITAL, THEN THIS IS YOUR SPOT. FRANCHISE IS THE KEY WORD HERE, NO MAKE THAT TOURIST.

amazing food and service! 9/27/2006

I made reservations for this restaurant because it got so many good reviews. I went on a double date with my best friend and her boyfriend, and my boyfriend. We were seated promptly and were given delicious appetizers. The wine list was a bit overwhelming at first, but the waiter was very helpful. We all ordered steaks and I have to say they were incredible! My filet mignon just melted in my mouth and I have never had a bearnaise sauce as good. My friend ordered the mashed potatoes and we ordered asparagus - perfect! The only flaw would be that we were seated at a table only meant for two. Our elbows kept bumping and there didnt seem enough room for all the items we ordered. But the peach cobbler and creme brulee desserts were delectable. A little pricey at the end but completely worth it! Pros: food, ambience, service Cons: small tables more

Excellent service! Great steaks!! 9/22/2006

If you want to eat a great steak for a reasonable price, that's the restaurant for you! Very good service, winelist above average, overall a great experience, you cannot ask for more in a steakhouse. Pros: Winelist, steaks, service more

simple, to the point, delicious 9/14/2006

Dining out last night with a large group of people can tend to get tricky when thinking of wine...Flemings ample list of wines by the glass can really be the way to go when dining in large numbers. The food was great, simple steakhouse presentations, great flavors, nice portions. The price is really the driving factor, the quality of meat is right on par with every high-end steakhouse in the city, yet the prices are everyday affordable. Dont be dazzled by the decor as it is upscale chain-like...which flemings is...service, a few kinks, a couple language barriers, yet still not bad. more

THE Steakhouse 8/31/2006

Overall: A+ Pros: Divine Steak. Good wine list, but pricey. Cons: The Calamari appetizer. more

Experience worth the price 3/24/2006

Upon ariving at fleming's, the friendly hostess greeted us and we were promptly shown to our table, which was located next to the window. The dim lit dining room made reading the menu somewhat challenging, yet the ambiance was certainly first class. The dining room acoustics were just right, not too loud or too quiet. The wine list, certainly pricey, offer a great variety of whites and reds, and our waiter was quite helpful in choosing a bottle. The food was very good, each of us ordering a different steak, while sharing common side dishes. Each steak was tender and cooked exactly how we wanted them, and not lacking any flavor. The only downside of the evening was the desert, creme brulee, which had a texture lacking the appropriate creaminess. Pros: Atmosphere, Food, Service more

Terrible Managers 3/8/2006

Went for my first anniversary...Sat down wine spilled all over my pants, shirt, and tie. Asked server if they could take care of glass of wine that ruined my clothes. Manager told me he couldn't help me, but he would get me some club soda. Server was terrible asked us three times if we had been there before, and asked us four times if we were going to a show. When we told him the third time we were not going to a show he told us he had tables that were going to a show and left us waiting for a half hour. I would not recommend this place to anyone who appreciates and values good service. At least food was good. Pros: FOOD Cons: SERVICE, MANAGERS, SERVICE more

What We Expected...And Much More! 1/13/2006

We arrived with plenty of time to spare before the curtain rose at the theatre which was just a block away. We were seated promptly, and the service was great! The steaks were absolutely mouthwatering and the chocolate lava cake was the grande finale to an absolutely great dining experience. This was our first visit to Flemings and we will definitely be back with our friends. Pros: Flavorful Steaks, Great Wine List, Dilligent Service more

great steak - headphones needed 11/21/2005

This is a great spot if you want to dine with friends or co-workers but not a date place at all. It is very noisy and even though I had a reservation, we still had to wait 25 minutes to get seated. Our meal took 2 hours and 45 minutes for 2 people and we were put in the back room next to a table celebrating a birthday. They were very loud and rude when we asked them to bring the noise level down. On the food side, the steak was one of the best I've had in boston. I would definately recommend the Filet. Drinks are expensive - bill should run about $50 a head. Pros: steak, appetizers Cons: crowded, noisy, rude more

Amazing! 6/3/2005

Flemming's is one of the best restaurants I've been to, and I suggest everyone go there at least once!! Pros: Valet Parking, Promt Service more

yum 12/30/2004

as a vegetarian i was hesitant to go to a steak house, but my date insisted we check it out. i had the grilled veggie platter which wasn't really spectacular, but the salad and dessert were. he said his salmon was good, but i wouldn't know. :) his cheese plate was delicious and had cards identifying each cheese. the wine list is amazing here - 100 by the glass. i had a glass of pinot noir and he had a riesling - very good recommendations from the wine manager. for dessert we got the berry cobbler and the chocolate lava cake. they were both incredibly rich and delectable. we would recommend this restaurant to anyone! Pros: friendly staff more

WOW! 12/18/2004

Absolutely, positively an incredible first visit. Pros: Delicious Food, IMpeccable Service more

awesome steak and veggies 10/1/2004

The steaks are done to perfection and the side dishes are prepared to order including sautéed spinach unlike any I have ever had before. Almost like each individual baby leaf was sautéed individually seasoned to a mouth watering excellence. The mushrooms, potatoes with jalapenos, baby asparagus with hollandaise, are perfect compliments to any steak of this quality. One of my "must eat at" whenever I go to Boston! Pros: food, atmosphere more

Top notch 8/9/2004

My wife and I have been to most good places in Boston and absolutely loved Flemings. It is great all around and we could tell that there had been great attention to detail with food, scene, drinks, etc. more

Atmosphere and ambaince are priceless. . .the very pleasant and knowledgeable staff makes your dinner that much more enjoyable. . .the wine selection includes evry type of wine you copuld imagine. The new management has done a great job. I would vote Fleming's the best find in Boston!!!! more

Excellent 3/11/2004

The food and service were great. The only problem I have is with the GIANT size of the side dishes. They are alacarte and the broccoli I ordered were actually 2 very large heads of broccoli. No not the small pieces you are familiar with. The actual size of 2 broccoli plants. Huge! Pros: Food, Service Cons: , Portions to Large more

Great 9/2/2003

Could be the best meal i ever had.The atmosphere was plain, however the food was so good and plentiful. Pros: Food, Service Cons: Price, atmosphere more

#1 In My Book 1/13/2003

I took my wife, parents, mother in law & 11 of my employees and spouses there for a holiday dinner. I had reservations & was seated immediatey. The services was outstanding. The waiters sensed the mood of the gathering and "went with it" We had a lot of fun along with being very well attended to. The tip reflected my satisfaction with everything. The waiter tracked me down to thank me, which was unusual, but nice. The food was outstanding from salad to dessert. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone Pros: quality food, great service, valet parking more
