Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

After reading the review of Megloomis 10/10/10, we made a reservation for an early Sunday evening requesting a "private, romantic boot" and were not disappointed and had a very similar experience to the reviewer. Dave R. was our waiter and could not have been better or more friendly. The politeness and efficiency extended to servers and hostess as well. Nice to be addressed by our last name and not "guys". The food- everything was outstanding, served hot and the filet mignon and prime rib was cooked precisely as ordered. Sauces were supplied on the side and delicious. The toppings for the baked potato were also served on the side so one could add just the right amount of butter, sour cream, bacon and cheese. Blue cheese mashed potatoes were very rich, but so tasty. Caesar salad had just the right amount of dressing and the lettuce fresh and crispy. Chef's special soup for the evening was lobster bisque including pieces of lobster and a shrimp on a small crusty in the middle. Chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream, sliced pistachio nuts with whipped cream rounded out this super evening. Although we had not mentioned it was our anniversary, we were asked if it was a special occasion and did note it. A candle was added to our dessert and were were send home with a complimentary box of truffles. The ambiance was very pleasant with subdued lighting, wine bottles on display everywhere and and expansive view of the open kitchen from our booth set back in the center at the far end of the restaurant. We look forward to returning to Flemings and hope your experience will be equal to ours. more

My husband and i recently came here for our anniversary!! We told them it was our anniversary so we asked for a private romantic table...when we arrived we were seated at a very private romantic booth and greeted with a ""happy anniversary""...the food was definatley 5 star quality...the augratin potatoes are to die for!!!! Then we were given a complimentary desert on the house and a box of chocolates on our way out!!!! This was truley a memorable anniversary, the staff and food were unforgettable!! thanks flemings for the great experience!!!!!!!!! more

For a nice meal in a nice restaurant, this is the place. Compared to it's steak house rivals, Flemming's offers a great value and some very nice dishes. Don't expect the quality that you will find at Davios or Grill 23, but the food is pretty darn good and the ambiance is quite nice too. My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary. We got there about half an hour early, our table was already ready for us but we went to the bar for a few drinks. The bartenders we very friendly, attentive and easy to have a conversation with, YUMMY DRINKS! The inside decor was beautiful, very cozy! We got to our table and our server (Danielle) helped us choose a great bottle of wine (from the amazing wine list). Danielle was very knowledgable about the menu and wine list. Durring dinner the managers, and chef came over to make sure everything was perfect... and it was! This was possiably the best dining experiance we have ever had! Our next trip to boston will definetly include Flemmings. more

I took a friend to Fleming's Steakhouse in Boston and it was the worst meal that I have ever had. I realize that I had seafood in a steakhouse, however the shrimp were as hard as rubber bullets. The scampi sauce was too salty. I would recommend that you select another restaurant because I spent almost $200 on the worst meal of my life. Pros: The valet parking is convenient, the wait staff were very good. Cons: The food was awful, definitely a waste of money. more

We were early for our reservation. The staff set us up and seated us within 20 minutes almost 20 minutes before our reservation. Nice job. Pros: Service excellent Cons: Average overpriced food, dark room , no where to put the menu while having appetizers more

I found the bar very friendly, the bartender Ricky was extremely welcoming, very personable and offered the best selection from the menu. King Crab leg unbelivible. 2nd , salad great wedge, lots of blue cheese and crispy white green and lots of toppings. The main meal a 16 oz on the bone steak. Incredible cooked to perfection. The greatest satisfation the desert, a hot lava of choc.with home made whipcream the best desert I have ever had. The service was beyond the best Ricky made us feel like were were at home introducing us to each and every sever. When enjoing dinner, look for Ricky at the bar, very experienced and intuned to what you need to order. A great night. more

This was our first visit to Fleming's. The weekend before, we tried to make reservations at 6 other Boston steakhouses (Grill 23, Abe and Louie's, etc.), but came up empty handed--a big weekend for graduations, apparently. We were, however, able to get an 8:45 reservation at Fleming's. (Hmmm ... red flag, anyone?) Pros: Steaks cooked as ordered, good size orders Cons: Service, dessert more

Fleming's is expensive but the food is delicious. I had the filet and it was perfectly cooked. The cheesecake was divine and very large. Our waiter was friendly and good at making recommendations. The place was packed the night we were there so it was loud. I don't think I would recommend going there on a first date. The only downside is that the tables are small and all the sides are a la carte; so there is no room if you are in a party of four. This really is a lovely room with gracious seating and excellent service. The chops are good, probably just a hairs dreadth in quality below a Grill 23, Abe and Louie's, Morton's etc. in roughly the same price range. Lots of first-rate wine selections, but the pour we saw was barely 4 ounces (if that) and the house claimed they were 6 ounces, which just wasn't so. Because the average is $10 or more per glass, you need to watch out, this is where they're trying to get you. I've been to this restaurant twice and i LOVED it the first time i went and just fell in love with it again the 2nd time. The steak is absolutely mouth watering and the service is amazing. Our waiter knew exactly which wint to pair with our food and it was just perfect. All my friends who tried it for the first time also loved it. I keep recommending it to everyone!
