Five O Clock Steakhouse

Lived in Milwaukee 20 years and first time at 5 O'Clock Club Steak house, we heard the hype for years. Had an ok meal, blackened steak was too over powering with had 4 different cuts, filet, porterhouse and new york strip. We went for 18th birthday and a graduation, commented about the events with online reservations, staff did not acknowledge either event. Waitress was satisfactory. With $30 plus tip I expect more exspecially on a Tuesday night and not so busy. Everything was comperable to a supperclub up north including decor not updated, food cart to bring and take food items and dishes, good meal but not exceptional and not worth $$$ dollar. more

5 O'Clock Steak House 2416 W State St Milwaukee, WI 53233 414-342-3553 I've always known this place as Coerpers. Perhaps it was sold? Not sure. But I have been here several times and it certainly deserves 5 stars. Honestly, the best steaks I have ever had. YUM-OH! They have AWEOME food. Come hungry and enjoy! The steaks are truly the best. Everything is good here - from their simple salads to their soups and breads. Just don't fill up too much on these items - wait for the steak. We ALWAYS blow a lot of money here - but you get what you pay for and it's worth it. The staff is top notched. The dining experience is very pleasurable. The entire place looks like it's from another era. 1950's? It certainly has a unique look - not because it's been updated to look "old" - I think it has NEVER been updated! Just a classy place! Love it! Hours Tuesday - Saturday dinner begins at 5:30 pm Bar opens at 5 pm Reservations are highly recommended. Area looks a little rough, but they do have an attended parking lot. more

My husband took me to the 5 o'clock club for our anniversary and oh wow! They have the best blackened steak. It has such a unique flavor! Their salad and bread was also quite good. The atmosphere is a bit dull, but the food more than makes up for the much needed decor update. Be prepared to spend $60-$70 per person for dinner and drinks, but if you need a special dinner you can't lose with the 5 o'clock Club. more
