Care Has Always Been First Class 2/1/2011

I've been going to Fall Road Animal Hospital for as long as I can remember. The care has always been first class. Everyone that I've dealt with has been professional and has always made the right call for both my dogs. Just last week we had to put our 20 year old Schnoodle Cookie to sleep. We credit the years of good care from Falls Road Animal Hospital with the many years we were able to spend with Cookie. When it came time to put Cookie out of her misery FRAH treated her and us with the utmost kindness and respect. The staff even sent us a sympathy card that was hand written and signed by members of the staff and the Vet that attended to Cookie. We are forever grateful to FRAH and would recommend their services to everyone. more

Top notch service and treatment 1/25/2011

I just wanted to say how grateful I am that Falls Road is there. When my dog ate a bunch of raisins he was rushed by my father to the Falls Road for emergency care. And what care he received!! Top notch service and treatment. I was out of town at the time but the doctors and staff kept me well informed with his progress. And the night I got back into town they were more than happy and understanding of the situation and allowed me to stay with my friend for as long as I wanted. The amount of time I spent there with out once feeling like I was in the way made me appreciate them even more. And I got to see that it truly is great hospital fully staffed at all times ready and able to handle almost anything that comes through their door. Any time you need a vet, regular routine or Emergency care, Falls Road is where to turn to. Recently went back for a visit and everyone remembered us. more

I will recommend Falls Road Animal Hospital 1/21/2011

I felt that I could easily call and reach someone to talk too at any time of the day or night. Which I actually did take advantage of when at 2 AM- I just had to check on how the de-claw went on my two cats. They promptly answered my call, checked in on them, gave me a complete update and put me at ease. (* did I mention this was at 2 AM? I've never found a place so available to meet mine and my pets needs before). I will recommend Falls Road Animal Hospital, Dr. Hammond and his team to anyone any time. I will be a return customer for life!! more

They Take Special Care Of All The Animals I Have Brought In 1/12/2011

I have been to several vets over the years, as I have owned a good handful of pets, and I find their rates to be pretty comparable.I would suggest (especially to dog owners!) to invest in pet insurance, which can cover anything from vaccinations to emergency surgeries. The main reason I now choose falls road animal hospital is due to the special care I know my pet will receive! When my cat had a urinary blockage last month, I was worried sick. Unlike many animal hospitals, the technicians actually allowed me to come in the back and visit him! Even though I must have been in the way, since their work on the other patients didn't skip a beat. It is also great to know that they were back there all night long, in case anything should go wrong with his treatment. Falls road is my number one choice for sick or injured pets! more

Caring 1/10/2011

From the minute we walked through the door, we were given the utmost attention. The professionalism, expertise and above all the caring attitude of all involved that night is a credit to you and Falls Rd. If you could personally extend my gratitude to Dr. Rachel Beard, Amy, Shannon, Jen, Cindy and Lea for a job well done, and in my opinion, above and beyond that which I have experienced in my over 25 years as a veterinarian. more

Very Dedicated Workers 1/7/2011

I was moving a dog overseas which requires a ridiculous amount of paperwork, as well as multiple visits to a vet that's endorsed by the USDA. Dr. Herko was one of two vets in the area, so that's what brought us here. They have someone dedicated as a 'pet concierge' maintaining order the waiting area and bringing paperwork to you while seated. While trying to control a 50 lb dog, this is a huge help. more

The vet we saw was very chinchilla-knowledgeable 1/3/2011

Took my chinchilla here on an emergency visit. We had accidentally pinched my chin's feet with a metal pull-out pan during cleaning. The vet we saw was very chinchilla-knowledgeable. Luckily, the wounds were just mainly superficial and were not broken legs (which require amputation usually). She was put on an antibiotic dip for her feet, a weak oral antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and a probiotic. For those in the Baltimore area with chinchillas, you should bookmark Falls Road Animal Hospital in case of emergencies! There's not many vets that understand proper care for chinchillas. more

Dr.Kim Hammond Is Great 12/28/2010

great staff, very reasonable price, owned by Dr. Kim J. Hammond, this place has treated my pets and my friends' pets extremely well, from the norm (dogs, cats, etc) to the more exotic ones (hamster, guinea pigs). more

Best Quality A Pet Owner Can Ask For 12/14/2010

This is the only vet that we have taken our puppy to see. The staff is very helpful and we have never had an issue with getting an appointment. The staff is patient and eager to answer questions. We believe that Falls Road Animal Hospital offers the best quality of care. more

I trust them completely! 11/12/2010

I am a relatively new client to the Falls Road Vet Hospital but have already referred several of my friends to them. Their staff has never failed to be professional, kind and caring. I feel as if they truly care about my pet and are happy to see me and my Frosty whenever we come in. I have met several of the doctors and would trust them completely with his care. I could not be happier and plan on staying with them for many years. more

Very impressed by their compassion! 11/9/2010

My wife and I found a dying rat not far from this animal hospital--she had clearly been poisoned. We came in and asked the staff to euthanize her, because there was no way she was going to recover. The hospital doesn't normally treat wildlife, but to their credit, they immediately agreed. Even though we offered to pay for their service, they refused payment. Clearly, they just wanted to help this poor girl. We were very impressed by their compassion, and especially impressed that even though we offered to pay, they refused to accept our money. more

They gave us hope 9/20/2010

I highly recommend Falls Road Veterinary Hospital. The staff and the Doctors there are wonderful. When my puppy was ill they all went above and beyond to save her. In our our darkest hours they gave us the hope and care our little girl needed. She is now a very big 2 year old Lab that is very healthy thanks to Falls Road Vets! more

The vet saw my cat right away 9/16/2010

My cat developed some troubling UTI-like symptoms when we were visiting Baltimore last weekend, so I took her in for an emergency visit on Saturday. I mostly just wanted to make sure she wasn't really sick or dying. The vet saw her right away, and my cat is now home and recovering from stress-induced cystitis. more

Wonderful and Caring 9/14/2010

We use to go to another Potomac vet and felt that the facility was not as clean as Falls Road Vet Hospital. I have used several of the doctors including Dr Amoroso and they really know their stuff! My lad just had surgery a couple days again and they called to see if I had any questions and how he was doing. They are wonderful and caring- this is what I love about the place. more

Always courteous and informative 9/2/2010

I've been taking my 10 month old lab/husky/pit/who knows what else mix here since she was 8 weeks old. They are a bit on the pricey side, but overall nothing too shocking. As far as the staff goes, they seem to be knowledgeable and will answer any question, no matter how dumb. Since I treat my dog as if it was my kid, I ask a lot of questions about it's health. They are always courteous though and diligently answer each one for me. more
